Can a winner be without a loser or a loser without a winner?
Oh my, this could not be very clear for a novice beginner.

As life passes by, I soon learn
It's more important to know when to take your turn. 

Not whether I win or lose that is attached to my name. 
It's the tremendous effort I put into playing the game.
