Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop

Scripture:
James 1:6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

In Reflection:
In our walk of faith, there are times when we are tempted to doubt. The challenges of life can make us feel uncertain about God’s plans and promises. Yet, the scripture reminds us that when we approach God in prayer, we must do so with unwavering faith. Our Father knows best, and His wisdom far exceeds our understanding.

When we doubt, we are like a wave in the sea—tossed and turned by every gust of wind. This instability leads to confusion and a lack of peace. However, when we trust in God’s perfect wisdom and timing, we find stability and assurance. He knows our needs even before we ask, and He knows the best way to meet them.

Remember that God is faithful and His promises are sure. Even when the outcome doesn’t align with our expectations, we can trust that He is working all things for our good. Our Father sees the bigger picture, and He knows the best path for us to take.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to trust in Your wisdom and goodness. Strengthen my faith so that I may not waver in doubt, but stand firm in the assurance that You know what is best for me. Guide me in all my ways and remind me that Your plans are greater than my understanding. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Point:
Today, reflect on areas in your life where you have been struggling with doubt. Surrender these areas to God, and ask Him to replace your doubts with faith. Trust that your Father knows best, and let His peace fill your heart.
