Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop
Scripture:
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Reflection:
In life, we often try to rely on our own understanding, analyzing situations, and making decisions based on what we know or feel. However, God invites us to trust Him with all our heart. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us that our understanding is limited, but our Father knows best.
When we trust in the Lord fully, surrendering our plans, desires, and worries to Him, He promises to guide us and straighten our paths. This doesn’t mean life will always be easy, but it means we are never walking alone. God sees the bigger picture, and when we submit our ways to Him, He leads us in the right direction.
Today, let go of the need to control everything and place your trust in God’s infinite wisdom. Submit your plans, your decisions, and your heart to Him, knowing He will faithfully direct your steps.
Prayer:
Lord, I place my trust in You today. Help me to let go of my own understanding and to submit every part of my life to Your will. Guide me and make my paths straight, for I know You always know what is best for me. Amen.
