Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop
Scripture:
Deuteronomy 13:4
“It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.”
Reflection:
There are moments in life when the path forward seems uncertain, and we are tempted to rely on our own understanding. Yet, Deuteronomy 13:4 reminds us of a powerful truth: it is the Lord our God we must follow. He knows the journey ahead better than we do. Like a loving Father, He calls us to trust His wisdom, obey His commands, and serve Him wholeheartedly.
Sometimes obedience requires sacrifice or stepping into the unknown, but our Father’s guidance is always rooted in love. He sees what we cannot, and His ways are always for our good and His glory. When we hold fast to Him, we find that His ways lead to life, peace, and fulfillment.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your perfect wisdom and guidance. Help me to trust in You fully, even when the way ahead is unclear. Strengthen me to obey Your commands and serve You with all my heart. Remind me that Your plans are always for my good, and that as I follow You, You will direct my steps. Amen.
Challenge:
Today, take a moment to surrender your plans to God. Trust that He knows what is best for you, and commit to following His lead in every area of your life
