Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop
Scripture:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
— Romans 15:13
Reflection:
In life, we often face moments of uncertainty, frustration, and confusion. We make plans, set goals, and sometimes things don’t unfold the way we envisioned. During these moments, it’s easy to doubt and wonder why things aren’t going as we hoped.
But our Father knows best. He sees the bigger picture, guiding us with wisdom beyond our understanding. Like a parent caring for a child, He sometimes allows us to face challenges, not to harm us, but to shape us, grow us, and bring us closer to Him. As we learn to trust Him, He fills us with joy and peace, even in difficult times.
Romans 15:13 reminds us that when we trust in God, we are not left empty. Instead, He fills us with hope that overflows. This hope isn’t dependent on circumstances but is powered by the Holy Spirit living in us. Trusting in God means surrendering our plans and believing that His ways are higher, filled with purpose and love.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to trust in Your wisdom and plan for my life. Fill me with joy and peace as I place my hope in You. May the Holy Spirit strengthen me to overflow with hope, knowing You are always in control. Amen.
Thought for the Day:
Trust in God’s timing, for His plans are greater than our own.
