Pay-Day Someday

In the realm of mortal choices, two paths starkly lie,
One cloaked in shadows, the other kissed by sky.
The "Pay-Day Someday" of each, a tale of end and start,
One leads to ruin, and one to the pure in heart.

For those who walk with Satin, in deceit's sly embrace,
Ignoring the call of virtue, and the light of grace.
Their path, though smooth at dawn, grows thorns at dusk's descent,
A journey toward a darkness, where regrets are never spent.

The "Pay-Day Someday" for them, a chasm wide and deep,
A realm of fire and whispers, where fears eternally creep.
For every choice of malice, for each act of disdain,
Awaits a reckoning, a ledger of pain.

Yet, for the righteous souls, who in God's footsteps tread,
With acts of kindness woven, and by faith's bright thread,
Their "Pay-Day Someday" gleams, a horizon gold and bright,
A promise of a kingdom, where day outshines the night.

Heaven awaits with open gates, for those who choose the right,
A realm of peace and joy, bathed in eternal light.
For every act of love, for each truth they uphold,
A jewel in their crown, more precious than gold.

So choose, oh mortal beings, the path you wish to walk,
In whispers or in wisdom, how you wish to talk.
For "Pay-Day Someday" comes, for all, for small and great,
Decide which legacy, you wish to create.

The tale of two eternities, woven by deeds and word,
The echo of our choices, in the universe is heard.
May we walk with courage, in the light of what's ahead,
Choosing paths of righteousness, by love and wisdom led.

John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
