What do you Love

, , ,
Do you love the world more than you love GOD?
Be careful what you do. You might get the chasting rod.

GOD Loves us so much, HE will keep us on the straight and narrow.
He wants our path in life to be straight
as an arrow.

Failure to see his loving plan for us.
Could bring us much unnecessary fuss.

Staying close to GOD’S Love and have him walk with you.
You need to turn to HIS SON JESUS and let him walk you through.

 Battle of Gettysburg

The First of July, Eighteen Hundred Sixty-Three.
A Battle ensued, darker than any other in American History.

Man against man, Boy against boy, scores fell dead.
Turning the vast battle field a bloody red.

Both sides advancing, trampling bodies underfoot.
Their faces all tarnished with gunpowder suit.

Bullets whizing overhead. Some hitting their mark.
Screams of pain and anguish came from the eerie dark.

There are two winners in this war as I see.
The Grim Reaper and Abraham Brian, who is still free.

The Grim Reaper claimed over fifty thousand soles that day.
Abraham Brian a black farm owner, lived to farm another day.
Inspired by Steve Johnson Strawberry, Arizona

Be Patient

Being patient is hard to do
We want to get things as quickly as you

That’s what we’re taught from birth
Getting more nervous all the while
It’s taught us to lose our smile

No need to get in a hurry
There’s plenty of time to spare
You see GOD will always be there

Slow down when you pray
And listen more every day
GOD will bless you in his own way

Our patience will increase
As our faith in him grows
We’re not smart enough to know what all GOD knows

He will give us everything we need
More abundance than we could conceive
If only we will wait to trust and receive

Sick and Tired

Are you sick and tired the end seems very near
Oh LORD take my hand and stay very very near

It’s only through the many hardships of life
That our close walk with you, will lessen our strife

When our heavy burdens seem more than we can bear
The greater the testimony we all can share

 Night sounds

When the sun goes down and the moon comes up
You sit back relaxing with your favorite cup

The orchestra of the night, critters start slow
Then builds to a loud crescendo to peak the show

Such quiet sounds can only be loud in the night
Matter not where you live, through the sounds we all unite

Some things stay the same

Some things In life stay the same no matter what
The joy of the birth of a child, your team beats the other team's butt.

The memories you have floating in your mind
Some of the memories may be harsh, others kind

The past after today cannot be changed away
Only changing today will change the past I pray

The key to changing the past lies in your hands
For no other can make the choices, this world demands

Pauline’s

There was a place, 627 Clay Street in Bowling Green Kentucky.
Your dad would take you there on your birthday if you were lucky.

A stately brick house. Well manicured and kept.
Rumored a place where many a boy and business man slept.

If you came by, the milk can was on the street
You just kept on walking with your two feet

In the blink of an eye the can was on the porch.
For six dollars you could go in and light your torch.

No kinder or most gracious lady could ever be found.
Her heart was made of pure gold giving much to the town.

Coats needed at the local elementary school.
She didn’t hesitate a minute to obey the golden rule.

The local officials all left Pauline alone.
They were most afraid their names would become known.

For the many years she serviced the town.
The towns people let her wear her Glorious Crown.
