Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s is a very scary thought
It makes us cry out for naught 

Some Physical Things we cannot change 
It seems so Hopeless We Feel
It doesn’t even seem real 

Our Heart sinks and breaks
As our Loved one's thoughts fade away
It makes Us Pray to GOD every day

What can I do I Shout
Put it all in GOD’S Hands no doubt 

It does not ease the pain
But GOD will give us total Peace Within

If we trust in HIM 
HE knows best 
HE will give us Total Rest

It’s only when GOD Reveals His Plan
That we Bow to HIM and say Amen

Secure in our Faith

Some are secure in their Faith 
They get a glimpse of GOD
They feel his Saving Grace

We don’t have a clue what lies ahead
Wonderful gifts HE has planned for us
Even Our Daily Bread

The Riches in Glory is far too great
For if we get close enough, we will see our fate

It is  only when we approach HIS FACE
HE is revealed through his LOVE and GRACE

Stay calm In whatever comes along
It won’t last very long

If you ask JESUS in your heart
He will be with you wherever you impart

HE will never leave you alone
Always holding your hand
Whatever the groan

When we see light at the end of the tunnel 
Despair springs into Hope
Knowing with JESUS Anything we can Cope

How Time Passes Away

When I was young I heard them say
How quickly Time  passes away

Then it didn’t occur to me
Later what the meaning would be

In My middle years, the time moved swifter
Not noticing too much being somewhat a drifter

As I grew older things changed immensely 
The hands of the clock turned very quickly

Days turned into weeks, Weeks into months, Months into Years. All in the twinkling of an eye. 
In many ways, Time had passed me by

The Gospel Ship

We’re going to sail on that Good Ole Gospel Ship
I'm so excited anticipating this once in a lifetime trip

I Feel So Comfortable being on board 
Knowing soon I will Meet my Precious Lord

It’s Headed Right For The Promised Land 
A distance place we don't Understand

Our Friends And Loved Ones We Shall See
Oh What A Glorious Day That Will  Be

When my Master Welcomes me home
Oh The love I will feel, never again being alone

Baptized In The Spirit

A strange statement I must say
I never really understood until today

The HOLY SPIRIT comes with HIM
When we ask JESUS to come in

HE always abides with us
If we don’t acknowledge HIM
It can create a fuss

HE acts as our communication with GOD
Without Him, we only Pray in Vain
Asking GOD for almost everything. 

He sent HIS SON to save our SOLES 
He sent the HOLY SPIRIT that we might grow

Without HIM we would remain like Little Children
Not ever growing in the Faith
So that we might see HIS RADIANT FACE

YESTER YEAR

Seems like Yesterday 
We were frolicking and running along the way

We had Children and we were so Proud
Even though sometimes they were very loud

Then the Grandchildren came along
They were even more loving and sure did belong 

Now We have more time for Ourselves 
Time to Remember The Love we’ve shared 
Relishing the Thoughts of How Much We Cared

We have many more days behind than Ahead of us now
We are So Pleased With What GOD Has Allowed

We are So Happy and Blessed
For GOD Has Walked with us all the way through
And we know he will always Continue too

Chimney is my dog I love
He means a lot to me
When I imagine him in my mind I feel so free

I’m not sure what breed he is                  
I pretend he is an Australian Shepherd because they are as smart as can be

I normally have him in my heart just for me 
I drew him on the sidewalk for everyone to see

Why I did this I do not know
It Just Makes Me Very Happy within
To show off my beautiful friend

The Gifts

Oh the Gifts on Christmas Day 
Their so much fun but they will not stay

They will soon be gone
Maybe by the end of the day

GOD sent HIS SON as a Gift to us
That will last forever and we can trust

So don’t put your Faith in the presents of today 
Accept His Son Jesus
Throughout Eternity he will Stay
