It is with deepest sympathy that I post the passing of Ken KU2US. As you may or may not know Ken is the person that started the 13 Colonies Special Event. Please join me by praying and in keeping the family in your thoughts
In Honor of Kenneth J. Villone, KU2US
Across the air, his voice once rolled, A signal clear, a heart of gold. From Conesus Lake to skies above, He shared his faith, his life, his love.
A soldier strong in years gone by, Who served his flag beneath the sky. With honor earned and duty done, He lived with prideâAmericaâs son.
He built a world where voices blend, Where strangers meet and hearts transcend. The 13 Coloniesâhis dream made true, Uniting many, yet led by few.
A husband faithful, steadfast, kind, A fatherâs strength, a brilliant mind. He found his peace by waterâs side, With Marthaâs memory as his guide.
Though now his call sign fades away, His spirit speaks in quiet ways. In every dawn, in every star, Weâll hear him stillâboth near and far.
Rest easy, Ken, your work complete, Your signal now in Heavenâs sweep. The band is still, the key now freeâ Godâs frequency has welcomed thee.
The seasons change, yet Godâs Love stays, Unmoved by time, through nights and days. Spring brings life with blossoms new, His mercy fresh as morning dew.
Summer shines with warmth and light, His presence near, His grace so bright. Autumn falls with golden hue, Still His promises remain true.
Winterâs chill may veil the skies, But His steadfast Love forever abides. Though seasons turn and years unfold, Godâs Love endures, unchanging, bold.
Hebrews 13:8 (KJV) âJesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.â
Godâs Power is on display every day, Those who reject Him are blinded, I must say. The heavens declare His glory above, Each sunrise and star speaks of His love.
The seas roar out His mighty hand, Mountains rise firm at His command. Yet hearts grow cold when they turn away, Ignoring the signs of His lighted way.
But those who walk in His guiding grace, Behold His wonders in every place. For faith unveils what eyes canât see Godâs Power alive for you and me
Rom 1:20Â Â For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualitiesâhis eternal power and divine natureâhave been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Jesus provides the ransom, pure and true, A price no other soul could ever do. For sinless He stood, without blemish or stain, Yet bore all our guilt, our sorrow, our pain.
He carried the burden we could not bear, The weight of our punishment, just and fair. The nails and the cross, the darkness, the strife, He offered it all to purchase our life.
God remains just, His judgment secure, Yet mercy through Jesus forever endures. The Just and the Justifier meet as one, Through Calvaryâs love and the death of the Son.
Now freedom is ours, redemption complete, Forgiven, restored, at the Saviorâs feet.
Romans 3:24â26 (KJV) âBeing justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.â
The mirror reflects your physical frame, Features and form, always the same. A fleeting image, a surface view, A likeness of body, but not the true you.
Yet Jesus reflects what eyes cannot see, The soul He redeems, the heart set free. In His light shines a radiant grace, A spirit transformed, a heavenly face.
The mirror may fade, its vision grow dim, But eternal life glows when you walk with Him. For outward beauty will wither away, But Christ in you shines brighter each day.
2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV) âBut we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.â
Dusty Bibles on forgotten shelves, While brand new cell phones glow for ourselves. Pages of truth left bound and unread, While endless scrolls fill heart and head.
Godâs Word sits quiet, a lamp to the feet, Yet we chase the noise of the digital street. Eternal wisdom waiting to be known, But we cling instead to whatâs shown on the phone.
If only our hearts would hunger again, For timeless truth that never ends. To trade the fleeting for what atones No more dusty Bibles, no more hollow phones.
Matthew 4:4 (KJV) âMan shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.â
In every flock thereâs one who strays, Who walks a path through broken days. The world may whisper, âlost, untrue,â But God still whispers, âI love you.â
The black sheep wanders far from home, Through valleys deep, afraid, alone. Yet still the Shepherd seeks with care, To lift and cleanse, to show Heâs there.
No stain too dark, no heart too far, No sin can dim His guiding star. The same great love, both deep and wide, Embraces all, with arms open wide.
So if you feel youâve gone astray, Remember this when you kneel to pray: Godâs mercy reaches where shadows creep, For He even loves the black sheep.
Isaiah 1:18 (KJV) âCome now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.â
