Closer Through the Word

Closer Through the Word

Read the Scripture, line by line,
Its truth eternal, pure, divine.
Read it once, then read again,
It draws you near, away from sin.

For every page, His voice is clear,
A gentle whisper, “Child, I’m here.”
The only way to walk with Him,
Is through His Word, both full and dim.

So seek His wisdom, day by day,
Let Scripture guide your heart and way.
For closer still you’ll surely grow,
The more His holy Word you know.

Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

The Ransom Paid

     The Ransom Paid

Jesus provides the ransom, pure and true,
A price no other soul could ever do.
For sinless He stood, without blemish or stain,
Yet bore all our guilt, our sorrow, our pain.

He carried the burden we could not bear,
The weight of our punishment, just and fair.
The nails and the cross, the darkness, the strife,
He offered it all to purchase our life.

God remains just, His judgment secure,
Yet mercy through Jesus forever endures.
The Just and the Justifier meet as one,
Through Calvary’s love and the death of the Son.

Now freedom is ours, redemption complete,
Forgiven, restored, at the Savior’s feet.

Romans 3:24–26 (KJV)
“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”

The True Reflection

      The True Reflection

The mirror reflects your physical frame,
Features and form, always the same.
A fleeting image, a surface view,
A likeness of body, but not the true you.

Yet Jesus reflects what eyes cannot see,
The soul He redeems, the heart set free.
In His light shines a radiant grace,
A spirit transformed, a heavenly face.

The mirror may fade, its vision grow dim,
But eternal life glows when you walk with Him.
For outward beauty will wither away,
But Christ in you shines brighter each day.

2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Rivers of Living Water

   Rivers of Living Water

The rivers of living water flow,
A gift from God that makes hearts glow.
Through me they run, both pure and strong,
A stream of grace, a holy song.

I pass it on to those in need,
A cup of love, a planted seed.
For souls still thirst with longing deep,
For peace eternal they yearn to keep.

The Spirit pours, it cannot cease,
It brings the weary soul release.
Eternal springs that never dry,
A well of life from God Most High.

So let these waters flow through me,
A channel of His love to be.
Until each heart, each searching one,
Finds living hope in Christ the Son.

Jhn 7:38  Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."

Dusty Bibles and Brand New Cell Phones

Dusty Bibles and Brand New Cell Phones

Dusty Bibles on forgotten shelves,
While brand new cell phones glow for ourselves.
Pages of truth left bound and unread,
While endless scrolls fill heart and head.

God’s Word sits quiet, a lamp to the feet,
Yet we chase the noise of the digital street.
Eternal wisdom waiting to be known,
But we cling instead to what’s shown on the phone.

If only our hearts would hunger again,
For timeless truth that never ends.
To trade the fleeting for what atones
No more dusty Bibles, no more hollow phones.

Matthew 4:4 (KJV)
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

The Black Sheep

       The Black Sheep

🐑 God Loves the Black Sheep 🐑

In every flock there’s one who strays,
Who walks a path through broken days.
The world may whisper, “lost, untrue,”
But God still whispers, “I love you.”

The black sheep wanders far from home,
Through valleys deep, afraid, alone.
Yet still the Shepherd seeks with care,
To lift and cleanse, to show He’s there.

No stain too dark, no heart too far,
No sin can dim His guiding star.
The same great love, both deep and wide,
Embraces all, with arms open wide.

So if you feel you’ve gone astray,
Remember this when you kneel to pray:
God’s mercy reaches where shadows creep,
For He even loves the black sheep.

Isaiah 1:18 (KJV)
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Pave the Road Ahead with Prayer

Pave the Road Ahead with Prayer

Pave the road ahead with prayer each day,
That the Lord may guide and show the way.
For life is filled with turns unknown,
But God walks with us—we’re never alone.

When shadows fall and doubts appear,
Lift up your heart, for Christ is near.
He lights the path when hope seems dim,
Reminding us to trust in Him.

Each prayer we breathe, both small and deep,
The Shepherd of our souls will keep.
He knows our steps, He holds our hand,
He leads us toward His promised land.

So walk in faith, do not despair,
God answers those who seek in prayer.
And as you journey, day by day,
His love will surely guide your way.

Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Wisdom from Above

Wisdom from Above

Wisdom is more than a sharpened mind,
It’s the light of God that helps us find
The path of truth, the way of peace,
Where doubts grow quiet and burdens cease.

Not clever words, nor knowledge vast,
But hearts made humble, held steadfast.
For wisdom flows from God alone,
A gift of grace from His great throne.

With reverence deep, we bow our will,
To trust His ways, be calm and still.
His judgment sure, His guidance clear,
Brings steady steps and casts out fear.

So seek the Lord, let pride depart,
Let wisdom dwell within your heart.
For life aligned with Heaven’s plan
Is the truest strength for every man.

"For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." - Proverbs 2:6

For the Work

            For the Work

Not for applause, nor fleeting fame,
Not for the echo of a household name,
But for the craft, the steady hand,
The love of labor, simple and grand.

No thought of riches, no thought of gain,
Just shaping beauty from joy and pain.
Each stroke, each step, a silent song,
A truth that endures, both steady and strong.

For in the end, when stories fade,
It’s not the trophies that we have made,
But the work itself—pure, complete
That makes a life, that makes it sweet.

So may our legacy hum like art,
Born of the soul, poured from the heart.
For the work alone, that sacred mark,
Outshines the glory, outshines the dark.

A Life of Faith and Conviction

From early days, his heart was set,
On freedom’s cause, he’d not forget.
With eyes on Heaven, truth his guide,
In God’s great Word, he did abide.

A servant first, both strong and kind,
A husband faithful, heart aligned.
A father’s love, so pure, so true,
His every step for others too.

From humble start in a small-town space,
A vision burned, a fire took place.
Turning Point rose, its voice grew strong,
To guard the right, resist the wrong.

He lived with courage, free from fear,
For faith, for family, he drew near.
His calling clear, his purpose plain,
That freedom’s torch might still remain.

Though thirty-one brief years were given,
His path was marked, his eyes on Heaven.
And now he hears, from Christ above,
“Well done, good servant, whom I love.”

We’ll honor him in what we do,
By standing firm, by living true.
His legacy, a guiding flame,
For truth, for faith, for freedom’s name.

Mat 25:23  His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
