The Last Dance

GLASGOW, UNITED KINGDOM – FEBRUARY 22: Senior Citizens take part in the Kelvinside weekly tea dance, 22 February 2005, Glasgow, Scotland. There are 11.22 million pensioners in the UK – 4.19 million men and 7.03 million women. The so called ‘grey’ vote will be important in the forthcoming election with all the major political parties canvassing for senior citizens votes. (Photo by Christopher Furlong/Getty Images)
I enjoy dancing and twirling around
Moving to the music, getting down

Dancing is primarily for young folks I say
The older you get the less you can sway

Reminiscing of the dances long ago
Renews my spirit wherever I go

The last dance is not too far away
Not knowing exactly which day

If not on the dance floor being only in my mind
Having a smile on my face remembering how kind

Closing my eyes in cold sleep
My last dance will accompany me

The bumpy road

The road seems bumpy at times
Hang on it will smooth out
Usually, the bumps come before major construction no doubt

Paving the road will surely improve the ride
Repairing your suspension will help you glide

A lot has to do with the road you choose
Playing follow the leader you may refuse

Taking the road less traveled is the best some say

Going the opposite of the multitude may bring you happier days

Grandpa’s Bible

Grandpa’s Bible brings a tear to my eye
Him holding it close just before he died

It traveled many a mile to and from church
All around town with souls to search

The leather is all worn and tattered now
I know in God's eyes it's a Blue Ribbon somehow

The smell of his Old Spice on the cover
It isn't easy to imagine his life is over

From cover to cover, his life shows God's Love
I now commit him to his Heavenly Father above

Grandma’s Bible

Women reading the Holy Bible,Reading a book.
Grandma's Bible means so much to me
I've seen her reading it while drinking tea

She read it when the grandkids were born
She read it the day Grandpa died early that morn

All the congregation sought her chocolate pies at the church social. She always remarked the recipe was with her devotional

Thinking nothing of it after she passed away. I was leafing through her Bible one day
There it was, the Chocolate Pie recipe. I had to bow my head and pray

She's in Heaven now. No more sorrow, no more pain
Strolling the streets with Grandpa praising His Name.

Propagation

Propagation In the Ham community, it is a common word
Refers to the atmospheric conditions that make weak signals heard.

Propagation in my spiritual life means something entirely different
It's my closeness to God that makes His word most Magnificent

Both in Amateur Radio and my Spiritual life propagation increases the signal
Both theories, whether earthly or spiritual, are surprisingly very simple

One depends on the physical composition of the atmosphere
The other depends on the nearness to God; to become very clear.

Either way, understanding propagation
I can make it work for me
To help make the received message better heard and clearer to see

I don’t know much

I don't know much about the Bible I see a lot about Jesus
I've found Him down by the creek where he takes time to visit us

A friend of mine showing the way
I can't thank him enough today
The Love that came over me, there are not enough words that I can say

Once Jesus came into my heart reading the Bible came easy for me
There was something inside that made the scriptures clear to see

Thank You, God, for making me and sending your Son Jesus to set me free

The Gardner

I have met the Gardner of my soul
The One that waters and makes me whole

I have been picked from the Very Best to be in God's Garden
My heart is constantly watered so it will not become hardened

Being fertilized by the scripture that I may grow tall and strong
No matter my circumstances always singing a joyful song

I’m thankful I’m in the garden of such a wonderful being
Trying my very best that my fruits will be far-seeing

Forty Days of Lent

Lent is the most Holy of times
Giving up many foods and wines

The solom observance of paying homage to Christ
In some Devine, way offering my small Sacrfice

The ordnance began many ages ago
Out of reverence of our Christ being tempted so

For forty days and forty nights in the wilderness, He stayed
Being tempted by the devil and fasting while he prayed

At the end of this time, He was hungry and ate
He outlasted the devil and overcame evil knowing his fate

I can only bow my heart and say
Thank you God for Your Sacrifice I pray

Luk 4:1  Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
Luk 4:2  where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.

Freedom

No one knows who feels freedom more than one who has lost it
Losing the freedom, swearing to find it before I quit

Freedom is a God Given right
Taking it away doesn't seem right

Any bondslave will tell you he should be free
He has never been on that side of life, you see

Freedom is an unwarranted gift from God
Hoping to find it before the final path I trod

The Battle Cry

Am I in a battle? Have I heard the cry
Will I be able to respond before I die

What kind of battle do I find myself in
Is it one from without or one from within

I've heard The Book of Truth reads
God can win all battles within His will
My purpose in life is to come close to Him and be very still
