My Momma went home to be with Jesus
I knew it was coming one day
I didn't want to talk about it or say
We are born to die. Our destiny is on God's Timeline
Knowing would interfere with the enjoyment of much fine wine
God knows the very best
Staying close to Him will pass the test
Mamma has gone to be with Jesus in Heaven now
Preparing the Homecoming Banquet
With no sweat from her brow
When we arrive at that table above
Oh, the sweet aroma of his incredible love
Time will stand still; no more rushing around
Only to be surrounded by heavenly sounds
An eternity to share our love we can only imagine
I never conceived this could ever happen

Am I camouflaged on my trail through life
Does anyone see me? Am I hiding with much strife
Is there anything fearful from which I hide
Is it from my feelings churning inside?
The only one I have to fear is myself.
All feelings aside, I find my true self.
Once I'm satisfied, calmness overwhelms me.
It gives total peace that sets me free.
Where does one find that peace and calmness in this life?
It's so simple yet far away
that I ask Jesus to come in and stay.

If Ida done this, if Ida done that
I mighta been a rich cat
I did this and I done that
That's the reason, I'm where I'm at
Since worldly things don't last forever
What I done was the best endeavor
I can't live in the past of done’s
My fabulous life has only begun

I may not be the best. I'm certainly not the worst.
How do I know this? In His word, I will never thirst.
His word tells me if I will follow him
His bright light will never grow dim
Following Jesus and choosing to serve others
Will show much love for my brothers
Choosing this path for my life
Will surely bring much less strife

Praising Him all night and all-day
It is the most Admirable notion, I would say.
Worshiping Him with every fiber of your being
seems to be the ultimate task for seeing.
Is His Glorious Love all meant for me?
It is to be shared with others to set them free.
Sharing is caring is what Jesus taught.
With His shed blood, our souls He bought.
If we do not share his wonderous Love,
we, indeed, will not be blessed from above.
He set into motion the more you give, the more you get.
For my vessel to overflow, this law must be met.

There is power in the Blood
There is power in His Word
There is power wherever he is heard
His power saves
His power heals
His wonderful wonderful power reveals
There is love in his light
There's is love that is so bright
Love that gives calm in the night
When the end draws near
Our hearts have no fear
As His glorious face we shall see
Arriving on that far off shore
Resting in His Love forever more

Don't be like me; that's the key.
There's only one man I follow you see.
Following any man will lead me astray.
For only the Son of God, Jesus knows the way.
Whatever happens, Jesus cares.
Talking to him relieves my many fears.
The calmness He brings with the touch of his hand
Brings me sweet peace in this foreign land
No matter what happens in my stormy life
talking to Jesus calms the waters and brings less strife.

When all clocks stop, and there is no more time
Where will I be when I hear those golden chimes
I will keep plodding the paved road ahead
Until I take my last breath on my deathbed
Then those golden stairs I will slowly climb
That’s where I’ll be when I hear those chimes

When you get to the point in life, You are hanging on by a thread.
Make sure it's a golden one that's strong enough to pull you ahead.
So a rope of many Golden strands is strong
I am weaving my strands all day long.
A rope of gold will strengthen your way
Giving you much safety from falling away.

Hear prayers for me each day, oh Lord, I say
Without prayer, I would only be clay
Prayer from others gives spirit to my soul
Knowing You hear their prayers, makes me whole
In turn my prayers you hear from me
Giving light to others that they might see
