The Stage Coach

The old horse-drawn stagecoach, help tame the west
Bringing men and women dressed in their Sunday best

Not being a trip for the faint of heart
Dirt, heat and sweat from the very start

Horses pulled with all their great might, to reach the changing post
Giving all they had as a team, for the masters they loved most

Transporting passengers to and from the wild wild west
Bringing some civility by those who were surely blest

The west was changed into what it is today
Because the old stagecoach blazed the way

Training

To win a physical contest, you must train vigilantly
This will make your body perform with great agility.

Spiritual training is much the same,
training with our mind, soul and heart.
To bring us across the finish line, with great speed, from the very start

The finish line of our life often seems so sad at times.
The Spirit of God being in our lives,
We will hear those glorious chimes.

Audie Leon Murphy

Audie Murphy a young farm boy from Texas
Joined the army, many calling him reckless

Growing up in poverty gave him many skills.
Determination and will to conquer many hills.

Through hellish war and lavish life,
Murph plodded on, plagued with much strife

Some saw him as a special being protected by God.
Murph saw himself on a lonely path he was given to trod.

He conquered because of perseverance and hope.
Due to his dear mother who taught him to cope

Life is never easy, the difficult decisions we have to make,
Leading us to our eternal destiny, wherewith God we will awake.
