How Close Is He

How close is He, How close is He
He's much closer than I can see

How close is He, How close is He
He's closer than my breath in me

How close is He, How close is He
My Savior, now He wants to be

How close is He, How close is He
He's so close, He has set me free

How close is He, How close is He
He takes my hand so that I may see

Ho close us He, How closes he
Wherever I go He travels with me

How close is He, How close is He
He lifts me up, for his love to see

How close is He, How close is He Praise God He's leading me into Eternity

How close is he, How close is He
His glorious face I now see

Along the Way

When you go to work day after day
What do you think of along the way

I always thought about, what was ahead of me
Most often, there were things I could not see

Problem-solving, was the most interesting time
Relying on past experiences, to try and make a dime

Little did I rely on the Creator of Mankind
Always thinking I could solve the problems, with my own mind

Only turning to ask for help from above
When I realized I had lost my love

An ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure
If only we would ask and not try to be so mature

Turning to GOD, is not a sign of weakness in any way
It's a sign of strength and perfection, in GOD’S Love every day

The Bridge

Ravenel Bridge in Charleston South Carolina
Why is there a bridge and what is its true purpose
It's a structure that connects us that can't be purchased

If there wasn't a cavern in between
No bridge would be needed or foreseen

GOD Sent HIS SON to bridge the gap between HE and Man
Over the gulf from eternity to our soul
The bridge of Love does span

Once that Love comes into our heart
We are connected to GOD never more to depart

Color Me Nature

Nature is so full of many brilliant colors
and delightful sounds.
The shimmering reds, yellows, and orange hues make the love in our hearts abound.

The chirping of the birds, lift our spirits by the day.
The orchestra of the crickets in the night sends our many cares far away.

Mother Nature chose to send us the very best.
If we choose to see and listen, we will surely be blest.

Of all of the wonderful creations that nature brings,
the birth of a child far exceeds the wealth of many kings.

The cry of a loving newborn babe
makes our hearts sing with great adoration.
The sweet love between mother and child forms a most divine relation.

We're so grateful, for the magnificent splendor of nature that surrounds us every day.
We can only stop and ponder, the total joy and peace it brings our way.

Going Home

How do I find the best road to take me home?
The first decision to be made, I no more want to roam.

A map to take me there would be the most important
For surely it will make the trip much shortened

So whether it be your physical or spiritual home
start your journey today, to see the light of home.

Suprise

Have you ever been surprised by something, good or bad.
If it were bad did it make you sad? If it were good were you glad?

If there were no surprises at all, A dull life it would be.
I suspect under the ground, is where you would find me.

If you train yourself to always expect the uncertain.
It will soften the blow, of the scene behind the curtain.

 Marshall University

What makes Marshall University so Great
It is the professors that carry so much
weight

Marshall, a University that has a soul that speaks from within
Its namesake US Chief Justice John Marshall, Is where the credit begins

Marshall was brought to its knees through that tragic plane crash
Seventy-five souls departed this earth, no one could fathom there worth

Huntington prayed for Marshall night and day
Marshall began to rebuild, The Thundering Herd began to play

Through the ashes of great tragedy, something mysterious happens
Through the love and strength of GOD
A stronger University happened

Marshall University stands today
on honored grounds for all to share
A university that's large enough to matter but small enough to care

Graduates of Marshall University can hold their heads high
Knowing they can accomplish anything before they die

The warmth of GOD’S Love

Do you know someone that has a cold heart
The more you talk, the further you grow apart

There's just one thing that will melt that old heart
That's the warmth of GOD’S Love flowing from your own heart

It may take a while if that old heart is frozen like a block of ice
They may have it insulated and not want to get rid of it at any price

The warmth of GOD’S love can penetrate any shell
It can keep people, from going into the pits of hell

Patience is the key I must say
Always keep praying and loving anyway

When the right time comes the ice will start to melt
The warmth of his wonderful Love will be felt

A gleam will finally show in their eye
when they realize that JESUS did not die

Now that you both have a mutual friend
You can talk and share GOD’s Love again and again

I know a Man

I know a man, whom I will not reveal
They seem to squeak when they turn their wheel

They have a very large ego always talking about themselves
Everything is much bigger on their shelves

Quickly to correct and scold, they don't seem to be interested in what you've told, it seems to be on earthly gold

Oh, something just came to my mind
The individual I'm describing is not very kind

Another thought just entered my head
The one I'm talking about turns my face red

Oh, now that i have written this, i see
The change must begin with me
