We no longer follow cloud by day, Or fire that lights the desert way, No pillar rising in the night Yet God is near, not lost to sight.
Through Christ, His dwelling place is found In humble hearts where faith abounds. Not built with gold or tent or stone, But lives He gladly calls His home.
When we walk close, in step, aligned, His presence guards both heart and mind. He goes before, He walks beside, Our faithful guide, our sheltering light.
Still leading on, still strong, still true The God of fire now lives in you.
1 Corinthians 3:16 (KJV) “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
Memories are funny, how they grow with time, Once plain and ordinary, now gentle and divine. When I was young, a bag of fruit and nuts would do, A simple Christmas morning, wrapped in love so true.
Those little acts of kindness, quiet and unseen, Have grown into reminders of what those moments mean. The good stays bright, the lesser fades away, Thank You, God, for shaping memory this way.
Php 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you
Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best By Mark Waldrop
Scripture: Exodus 14:14 "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."
Reflection:
In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the challenges and battles we face daily. Whether it’s the stress of work, the strain of relationships, or personal struggles, we often find ourselves trying to fight these battles on our own. Yet, the Bible reminds us that our Father knows best and that we are not alone in our struggles.
In Exodus 14:14, we see the Israelites facing what seemed to be an insurmountable obstacle. With the Red Sea before them and Pharaoh's army behind, panic set in. But Moses delivered a powerful message from God: “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” This verse is a profound reminder of God’s sovereignty and His willingness to intervene on our behalf.
Being still doesn’t mean being inactive; it means trusting God’s plan and timing. It’s about releasing our worries and control, allowing God to take charge. When we stop striving in our strength and start relying on His, we find peace and strength beyond our understanding.
God’s promise to fight for us is not just for the Israelites but for all His children. He sees every detail of our lives, knows every need, and understands every fear. Our Father, who knows best, asks us to trust Him, to be still, and to watch Him work wonders in our lives.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to fight for us. Teach us to be still and trust in Your perfect plan. Help us to release our burdens and fears into Your capable hands, knowing that You are in control. Strengthen our faith and remind us daily that You are with us, guiding and protecting us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
**Thought for the Day:**
God’s strength is made perfect in our stillness. Trust Him with your battles today.

Looking for Jesus seems a noble thing to do, Yet search can turn to longing for what comforts you. If seeking is for gain, for answers just your way, He may feel just beyond you, slipping day by day.
You may chase every sign, every whispered clue, And find what you are searching for keeps eluding you. But when your heart is humble, and love is what you choose, When you care for others as Jesus always would
You will not have to search for Him, nor call His name, For He will come beside you, quietly the same. In mercy lived, in kindness shown, in love that’s true and free, You’ll find that all along… He was walking next to thee.
Jhn 14:21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”

Scripture Reading: Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Reflection: In our fast-paced, often overwhelming lives, we frequently carry burdens that weigh heavily on our hearts and minds. Whether these burdens are related to work, family, health, or personal struggles, the load can sometimes feel unbearable. However, Jesus offers a profound promise in Matthew 11:28-30. He invites us to come to Him with all our labor and heavy burdens, promising us rest.
Jesus’ invitation is both comforting and powerful. He understands our struggles and knows our deepest needs. When He says, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me," He is offering us a partnership. In ancient times, a yoke was used to pair two animals together to share the load. By taking on Jesus' yoke, we are not bearing our burdens alone; we are sharing them with Him.
Jesus describes His yoke as easy and His burden as light. This does not mean that life will be free from challenges, but it means that with Jesus, we can navigate these challenges with a sense of peace and rest that only He can provide. He is gentle and humble in heart, understanding our limits and lovingly guiding us.
Application: Surrender Your Burdens:** Take a moment today to identify the burdens you are carrying. Bring them to Jesus in prayer, asking Him to help you carry them and to give you rest. - **Learn from Jesus:** Spend time in His Word, learning from His teachings and example. Allow His gentleness and humility to shape your responses to life's challenges. Trust in His Provision: Trust that Jesus' way is the best way. He knows what we need and how best to help us. Rely on His wisdom and strength.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for inviting us to come to You with our burdens. We are grateful for the rest and peace that You offer through Your Son, Jesus. Help us to take His yoke upon us, learning from His gentle and humble heart. Teach us to trust in Your provision and to rely on Your strength. May we find true rest for our souls in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Thought for the Day: When we surrender our burdens to Jesus and walk alongside Him, we find rest and strength in His gentle and loving care. Our Father truly knows best.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."
Reflection: In these verses, we are reminded of the divine origin and purpose of Scripture. Every word is inspired by God, providing us with wisdom and guidance. The Bible serves multiple purposes: it teaches us, reproves us when we stray, corrects our errors, and trains us in righteousness. Through Scripture, we are shaped and molded to become complete, equipped for every good work that God has prepared for us.
Our Father, in His infinite wisdom, has given us His Word as a comprehensive guide for living a life that pleases Him. It is through engaging with Scripture that we grow in our understanding of His will and develop the character needed to carry out His purposes. Just as a craftsman uses tools to create a masterpiece, God uses His Word to refine and perfect us.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Help me to value and cherish the Scriptures, allowing them to teach, reprove, correct, and train me in righteousness. Equip me through Your Word to be complete and ready for every good work You have set before me. Guide my steps, shape my heart, and strengthen my faith through the power of Your Word. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Action Step: Set aside time each day to read and meditate on a passage of Scripture. Reflect on how it teaches, reproves, corrects, and trains you. Consider keeping a journal to note your insights and how God is speaking to you through His Word. Let the Scriptures shape your thoughts, actions, and character, trusting that our Father knows best and has provided everything you need for a life of purpose and fulfillment.
And in the quiet fields where shadows lay, Where shepherds kept their watch till break of day, The stars stood still, the night drew near, When Heaven bent low and conquered fear.
A sudden light—no mortal flame The glory of the Lord in radiant name. They trembled there, hearts tightly bound, As holy brilliance wrapped the ground.
“Fear not,” the angel softly cried, “For joy is born this holy night. Good news for all, both far and near, A Savior comes—salvation here.
In David’s town, so small, so mild, You’ll find the sign: a newborn Child. Wrapped in cloths, in manger laid, The King of Kings in humble shade.”
Then skies broke forth with voices bright, A heavenly host filled all the night: “Glory to God in realms on high, And peace on earth where hearts draw nigh.”
The sheep lay still, the hills stood hushed, As time itself seemed gently crushed. For on that night, so calm, so mild, The world was changed by Heaven’s Child.
— Luke 2:8–14 inspired Luk 2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. Luk 2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. Luk 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Luk 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luk 2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Luk 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Luk 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.

Reflection: In the midst of our deepest distresses, the psalmist’s cry to God resonates with the cry of our own hearts. Life’s challenges and afflictions often seem overwhelming, enlarging the troubles of our hearts. Yet, in these moments, we are invited to turn to our Heavenly Father, who sees and understands our struggles.
