That  Ole River

I didn't know what that River was till I crossed it one day.
It’s name was Jordan. I had heard of it somewhere along the way.

I had no idea how deep or wide.
Or where it’s waters flowed.

The closer I got. The brighter the light. 
No more Anxious Moments as I came closer to the Light 

When I arrived on shore
I heard a glorious roar. 

Then I saw the face of JESUS.  
I fell before his feet. 
Thanking HIM for his Glorious Blessings oh how sweet. 

Then I saw my family. Oh what love abounds.
No more pain or sorrow.
Only the Peace of GOD with its Glorious Sounds. 

I never could have imagined. 
The Glory of GOD that I would see.
The Great Unimaginable Love HE had Waiting for Me.

Walk WITH JESUS

Does Jesus recognize you by your walk
Or do you just simply walk on by with talk

Talk is real good till you see a genuine need
Then you need to stop the talk and take heed 

If a person is hungry and you pass them by
It displeases JESUS and HE begins to cry

If you take the time to provide what they need
GOD and HIS SON will surely bless you indeed

What is a Saint

What is a Saint? That’s hard to say
It would be someone who does good every day

I think they would live close to GOD without reproach
That would mean making GOD their Coach

A Saint has to perform Miracles I’m told 
Would that be like Miracles of Old

They should have a Caring  Heart
One that has been Set Apart

Caring for others would be a Command
That they have exhibited in Their Lifespan

I’ve just met one Person in my time 
That fits the description’s in this rhyme 

They walk Close with the LORD Every Day
And pray to HIM Like A Friend They’ve met along the way

The one I know would deny all of this
Being Humble is another Attribute I guess

It’s left up to GOD To Say for Sure
And we will only know after our Earthly Tour

Is that old bottle calling you
Its contents will only make you blue
Walk on by that old liquor store

Your old friends are on the shelf
Don’t take ‘em down and make a fool of yourself 
Walk on by that old liquor store 

When your alone and so blue
You think that’s the only friend for you
Walk on by that liquor store

It can ruin your marriage 
And changed your life
It can bring you much toile and strife
Walk on by that old old liquor store

It will only break your heart 
and scatter the pieces far apart
Just walk on by that old liquor store 

A weight will be lifted for evermore 
When you walk past that old store

If you do not stray
Happiness is on the way
When You walk by that Liquor Store

Some day you’ll look back and say 
Thank you, LORD, for what you did today

I’ll never be able to repay 
Getting me past that Old Liquor Store

Drink from them, all that thirst
Filling you up with untold love

Giving you all the desires of your heart
Showing HIS Love for you, never to part

Peace that passeth all understanding 
Will abound with you for everlasting

Slow and Steady

Slow and Steady is the way to go
For if you run too fast
You may get lost to the foe 

To win a race you must pace yourself 
So you will stay strong
And you do not lose sight of yourself 

As you march on through this world of strife
Always keep your eye on Jesus during your life

You will win the race with ease
Because God will be very pleased

Lonely

Some days seem so lonely
I don’t want to live anymore 

I just want to stay in bed
And cry more and more

The sun hurts my eyes 
I keep the room as dark as I can

I don’t want to see the light
I just want some peace and quiet

Some people say I’m depressed
I just want some rest

I can’t go on. This is too much for me
I think I’m just ready for eternity 

Then I heard a still small voice say
Just wait for JESUS Is on the Way

I thought it was too late. That nobody cared
I had given up. I was prepared 

Then I said JESUS if you are on the way
Please Please get here today

When JESUS Showed Up
It changed my life around. I could not believe the Love I had found

Sadness turned into Joy
The night turned into Day 

I was filled with more love than I could imagine 
I was filled with such great passion 

I couldn’t keep it to myself
I wanted to tell others of GOD’S GREAT GLORY AND WEALTH

So if you are downtrodden and Your heart starts to yearn 
Just wait for JESUS. HE’S around the next turn

He will lift you up and give you a New Life
One with so much less strife 

The Joy You have you can’t convey
When HE walks with you Every Day
