A scriptural rockhound, I might be
Turning over each rock that I see

I choose each scripture like a rock
To examine it intensively like a hawk

I fill my bucket with these carefully picked gems
I  prayerfully examine them through a spiritual lense 

The deeper I dig, the more valuable they become
This is from where God’s granted wisdom comes 

Being a rock hound, I have a most curious mind
I am always excited by what I continue to find

Thank you, God, for the scriptures I can explore
That I might become closer to you forevermore
