Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop

Scripture:
1 Thessalonians 4:11 - "And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;"

In a world full of distractions, noise, and endless demands, it is easy to get caught up in the rush of life. We find ourselves juggling responsibilities, chasing after success, or getting entangled in other people's affairs. Yet, through the wisdom of Scripture, we are reminded of a divine principle: quietness, focus, and diligence in our own work.

God, our loving Father, knows what's best for us. He calls us to a life of calmness and to mind our own business, focusing on what He has entrusted to us. By working faithfully with our hands, we honor Him and live a life of contentment and purpose.

This verse encourages us to avoid meddling in the affairs of others and to cultivate a peaceful, diligent spirit. When we focus on the work He has given us, we are living in alignment with His will, bringing glory to His name and finding fulfillment in the process. Trust in His guidance, knowing that His plans for you are perfect.

Reflection:
Are there areas in your life where distractions have pulled you away from the work God has called you to do? How can you embrace a quieter, more focused walk with Him today?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for knowing what is best for me. Help me to be quiet in spirit, to mind my own business, and to work faithfully with what You have placed in my hands. Guide my steps so that everything I do brings glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
