Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop

Scripture:
Zechariah 4:6
“So he said to me, ’This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.”

Reflection:
In times of challenge, it’s natural to lean on our strength, resources, or influence to achieve what we desire. However, in Zechariah 4:6, God reminds Zerubbabel, and us, that true success and victory are not accomplished by human might or power, but by the Spirit of the Lord.

When we rely solely on our own abilities, we often feel overwhelmed or inadequate. But our Father knows what is best for us and calls us to trust His Spirit to guide and empower us. His Spirit can accomplish what our strength cannot—bringing peace in turmoil, wisdom in confusion, and victory in what seems impossible.

Whatever challenges you face today, remember that it’s not by your effort alone that breakthroughs come. Rely on God’s Spirit, for He knows the way forward and will provide the strength you need.

Prayer:
Lord, remind me today that my strength alone is not enough. Help me to rely on Your Spirit for guidance, power, and peace. Thank You for knowing what is best for me and for working in ways beyond my understanding. Amen.
