Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop
Scripture:
James 1:5 – “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Reflection:
In our daily lives, we often find ourselves facing situations where we feel uncertain or confused. Decisions big and small can overwhelm us, leaving us wondering what the best path forward is. In those moments, it’s comforting to remember that we have access to divine wisdom—wisdom that comes from our Heavenly Father, who knows all things and has our best interests at heart.
James 1:5 reminds us that God is not stingy with His wisdom. In fact, He gives it generously to anyone who asks, without judgment or hesitation. He is a Father who delights in guiding us through the complexities of life. When we humbly seek His direction, we can trust that He will provide what we need. His wisdom isn’t limited by our failures or weaknesses; it’s available to all who ask in faith.
Prayer:
Father, we come before You today, acknowledging our need for Your wisdom. In every decision, every crossroads, we ask for Your guidance. Help us to trust that You know what’s best for us and that You will lead us in the way we should go. Thank You for Your generosity and for never turning us away when we come seeking Your help. Amen.
Thought for the Day:
No matter how unclear the path may seem, trust in God’s wisdom. He knows what is best for you. All you have to do is ask.
