Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By MarkWaldrop

Scripture:
Psalm 27:14 – “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”

In our fast-paced world, waiting can feel like a burden. We long for quick solutions, immediate answers, and instant relief from our struggles. Yet, the Lord calls us to wait on Him. Why? Because He knows what is best for us, even when we cannot see the full picture. His timing is perfect, and His wisdom is far beyond our understanding.

Waiting on the Lord is not passive. It is an active trust in His goodness and His plan for our lives. As we wait, He strengthens us, builds our faith, and draws us closer to Him. He teaches us patience, perseverance, and reliance on His guidance. It is in these times of waiting that we experience His peace and the assurance that He is in control.

Just as a loving father cares for his children, God knows our needs and desires. He works behind the scenes, preparing the way, aligning circumstances, and shaping our hearts to be ready for His blessings. When we wait on Him, we are reminded that our Father truly knows best.

Prayer: Lord, help me to trust in Your perfect timing. Give me strength and courage as I wait on You, knowing that You always have my best in mind. Guide me to rest in Your presence, knowing that You are working all things for my good. Amen.
