🌿 Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best 🌿
Scripture: “Whoever has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” — John 14:21 (ESV)

Devotional Thought:
As children, we may not always understand the reasoning behind a parent’s instruction, but when trust is present, obedience flows from love. Jesus makes it clear in John 14:21 that love for Him isn’t just a feeling—it’s a life lived in obedience to His Word.

Our Father in Heaven is not distant or cold. He delights in a relationship with us, one marked by love, trust, and obedience. And just like an earthly father longs to protect and provide, our Heavenly Father knows what’s best for our hearts, our choices, and our future.

When we choose to keep His commandments, even when they challenge our comfort or confront our will, we demonstrate that we trust His love more than our limited understanding. And in return, Jesus promises something extraordinary—He will manifest Himself to us. That means deeper intimacy, clearer direction, and a greater awareness of His presence in our lives.

Reflection Question:
Is there a command of Christ you’ve been hesitant to obey? What would it look like to trust that your Father truly knows best?

Prayer:
Father, thank You for loving me enough to give me direction. I confess that sometimes I want to go my own way, but today I choose to trust You. Help me to love You through obedience, knowing that You always have my good in mind. Show me more of Yourself as I walk in Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Step of Faith:
Pick one of Jesus’ teachings—perhaps forgiveness, generosity, or humility—and commit to living it out in a tangible way today. Watch how He reveals Himself in the process.

✝️ Loving Jesus means listening to Him, trusting Him, and obeying Him—because our Father truly knows best.
