The Missionary
A missionary isn’t made
by plane tickets or distant lands,
nor by passports stamped with places
where foreign dust has touched their hands.
A missionary is born
the moment the cross comes into view
when the love of Christ becomes
more than a story…
but a calling
deep and true.
It’s not about traveling far,
but about being willing to go
whether across oceans
or across the street,
to the hurting hearts we know.
For the greatest journey begins
not with miles,
but with mercy
and a heart that says,
“Here am I, Lord…
send me.”
A missionary is not someone
who simply crosses the sea
but someone forever changed
by the One
who hung
upon the tree.
Isa 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
