Happy New Year

A brand-new dawn, a fresh-turned page,
Soft light of hope for every age.
Yesterday fades, its lessons stay,
Tomorrow waits in quiet gray.

With thankful hearts we step ahead,
By grace we’re guided, gently led.
Through winding paths and skies so blue,
Each breath a gift, each mercy new.

May peace like rivers freely flow,
May faith grow strong, may love outgrow
All fear that whispers from the past
For God’s new mercies hold us fast.

So here’s the year, just born today,
We place it, Lord, within Your way.
Our trust, our steps, our days unfurled
Happy New Year to all the world.
