Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop

1 John 2:2 – He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

In this passage, we are reminded of the incredible sacrifice of Jesus Christ. His death on the cross was not only for our personal sins but for the sins of all humanity. This act of love and mercy opened the door for everyone to experience the grace and forgiveness of God.

Our Father, in His infinite wisdom and love, knew that we could never bridge the gap between our sin and His holiness on our own. So, He sent His Son as the ultimate sacrifice, an offering that would cover every sin, past, present, and future. No one is beyond the reach of God’s love, and His salvation is available to all who believe in Him.

This truth reassures us that no matter what we have done, we are forgiven through Christ. It also challenges us to extend the same grace to others, remembering that Christ’s sacrifice was for the whole world. God’s plan is perfect, and His love is boundless—our Father truly knows best.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who took away my sins and the sins of the world. Help me to walk in the light of Your forgiveness and extend that same grace to others. Thank You for Your perfect plan of redemption. Amen.
