🌿 Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best 🌿
Scripture:
“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” — Matthew 7:11 (ESV)
Devotional Thought:
We all understand the love of a parent who longs to bless their child. Even flawed, earthly parents desire to give good gifts. How much more, then, can we trust our perfect Father in Heaven to provide what we truly need?
Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:11 aren’t just comforting—they’re an invitation to trust. Our Father isn’t distant, stingy, or forgetful. He is generous, attentive, and good. And He doesn’t give according to our fleeting wants, but according to His perfect wisdom.
Sometimes we ask for things and don’t receive them—not because God isn’t listening, but because He’s giving us something better, even if it’s not what we expected. His timing is perfect. His plan is flawless. And His heart toward us is always kind.
So when we come to Him in prayer, we don’t have to beg or bargain. We can ask with confidence, knowing that our Father knows best, and He gives His best—always.
Reflection Question:
What are you asking God for right now? Are you trusting His heart even if His answer looks different than your request?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being a good and generous God. Help me to trust that You know what is best for me. Teach me to ask boldly, wait patiently, and receive gratefully. Even when I don’t understand Your ways, help me to rest in Your perfect love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Truth:
You don’t have to understand everything to trust your Heavenly Father—just believe that He loves you and gives only what is truly good.
✝️ Our Father knows best—and He delights in giving good gifts to His children.
