What Can I Give

      What Can I Give

What can I give Him, poor as I am?
No golden crown, no spotless lamb.
No royal treasure, no robe of fine art,
Just empty hands and a willing heart.

I cannot dazzle with riches or gold,
Nor bargain with works so proudly told.
But love, once given, is never apart
So all I can offer is my heart.

I’ll give Him my mornings, my doubts, my days,
My broken songs turned into praise.
When words fall short and faith must start,
I lay at His feet my fragile heart.

For heaven rejoices not in display,
But in a soul that freely will say:
“I am Yours, Lord—every torn part.”
The greatest gift… a surrendered heart.

Pro 23:26  My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

For God’s Honor and Glory
