Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop

Scripture:
James 1:5 – “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

Reflection:
In our daily lives, we often find ourselves facing situations where we feel uncertain or confused. Decisions big and small can overwhelm us, leaving us wondering what the best path forward is. In those moments, it’s comforting to remember that we have access to divine wisdom—wisdom that comes from our Heavenly Father, who knows all things and has our best interests at heart.

James 1:5 reminds us that God is not stingy with His wisdom. In fact, He gives it generously to anyone who asks, without judgment or hesitation. He is a Father who delights in guiding us through the complexities of life. When we humbly seek His direction, we can trust that He will provide what we need. His wisdom isn’t limited by our failures or weaknesses; it’s available to all who ask in faith.

Prayer:
Father, we come before You today, acknowledging our need for Your wisdom. In every decision, every crossroads, we ask for Your guidance. Help us to trust that You know what’s best for us and that You will lead us in the way we should go. Thank You for Your generosity and for never turning us away when we come seeking Your help. Amen.

Thought for the Day:
No matter how unclear the path may seem, trust in God’s wisdom. He knows what is best for you. All you have to do is ask.

Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best

Scripture:
John 14:12
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”

Reflection:
In this passage, Jesus assures us that those who believe in Him will not only carry on His work but will accomplish even greater things. This can be overwhelming to consider—how could we possibly do greater things than Christ? Yet, this promise is not a measure of human strength but of divine empowerment. Jesus went to the Father, leaving us the Holy Spirit to guide, equip, and sustain us.

When we surrender to God’s will, He can use our lives in ways we never imagined. His knowledge of what is best for us far exceeds our own understanding. We often seek control or worry about outcomes, but our Father knows the path we should take, and He leads us in love. Trust in His plans, and He will work through you to achieve His purpose. Even in small acts of kindness, God can do great things.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for knowing what is best for me. Help me to trust in Your guidance and believe in the power You have placed within me. May I follow in Christ’s footsteps, knowing that through Your strength, I can do all that You have called me to do. Amen.

Action Step:
Reflect on an area of your life where you have been hesitant to trust God. Take a step of faith today, knowing that He is leading you and will enable you to do great things through His Spirit.

Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop

2 Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.”

As believers, we live with the deep assurance that this world is not our final home. Paul speaks of this confidence—a longing to be with the Lord, free from the limitations of our earthly bodies. This verse reminds us that our ultimate destination is in the presence of God, where there is perfect peace, joy, and fulfillment.

While we navigate the challenges of life, our Father knows what is best for us, both here and in eternity. Though we may face trials, sickness, or suffering, we hold onto the hope of being with the Lord one day, in a place where all pain and sorrow are gone. This promise gives us courage and strength to persevere, knowing that our true home is with Him.

God’s wisdom is perfect. He understands our struggles and gives us the grace to endure while we are in this world. But He also prepares us for the day when we will leave behind our earthly bodies and be united with Him forever. Until that time, we trust in His plan, knowing that He is guiding us toward the eternal life He has promised.

Today, take comfort in the knowledge that your Father knows best. While we are here, we live by faith, confident that we are moving toward a glorious future with Him. Let this hope fill your heart and inspire you to live each day with purpose, as you look forward to the joy of being at home with the Lord.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the hope of being with You in eternity. Help me to live with confidence and faith, trusting in Your plan for my life. May I always keep my eyes fixed on the eternal home You have prepared for me. Amen.

Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best
By Mark Waldrop

Luke 24:39 “Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples, offering proof of His physical presence—His hands, His feet, His very real body. He knew their doubts and fears, and He met them where they were, offering reassurance and solid evidence of His victory over death. In this moment, Jesus showed that He was not just a spiritual presence but alive in the flesh, fulfilling every promise He had made.

Our Father knows best, even in our moments of doubt. He understands our need for reassurance and meets us with the truth of His presence. Like the disciples, we sometimes wrestle with questions or uncertainties in our faith. Yet Jesus invites us to see and believe—He is real, and His promises are true. His love is tangible, His sacrifice complete, and His victory over death certain.

Today, reflect on the reality of Christ’s resurrection and the personal invitation He extends to you. No matter what doubts or struggles you face, Jesus offers the assurance of His presence and the reality of His love. He meets us in our fears, proving that He is alive and with us always.

Trust that your Father knows best. He has given us every reason to believe, and He invites us to touch and see that He is alive and working in our lives today.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the assurance of Your resurrection and Your constant presence in my life. Help me to trust You fully, even when doubts arise, and remind me that You are always near. Amen.
