Companions

In life, it's not just the paths we choose,
But the companions who our spirits fuse.
Through valleys low or mountains high,
The truest wealth is who's by your side.

Not destinations, grand and wide,
But the hearts in which we confide.
For journeys taken, short or long,
It's the shared laughter, our sweetest song.

With every step, a story weaves,
In the tapestry of memories we leave.
It's not the places that we roam,
But who walks with us, makes it home.

In the dance of life, under the moon's soft glow,
It's not where we land, but who we know.
Through storms and sunshine, joy and strife,
The beauty of journey, the essence of life.

So cherish the ones who make you feel true,
In life's grand adventure, it's who goes with you.
For in the end, when the day is through,
It's not where you go, but who's with you.

A Beacon in the Night

In a world where cruelty hides in day's bright light,
A young heart stood firm, a beacon in the night.
Luke Rowles, just fifteen, eyes wide and brave,
Faced down the dark, a lone, innocent to save.

In a garden of shadows, where violence found its mark,
A fox lay in agony, its future stark.
Mouth sealed with silence, a duct tape chain,
A creature of the wild, bound in human pain.

With courage that belied his tender years,
Luke approached the group, despite his fears.
He shouted, a voice against the tide,
And with determined hands, he turned the ride.

He lifted the fox, from the depths of despair,
Healing its wounds, with tender care.
In his eyes, a resolve, pure and true,
A spirit that through darkness flew.

He freed the fox, back to the wild's embrace,
A gesture of hope, for the entire race.
Luke Rowles, now a man, continues his creed,
Rescuing those in need, a selfless deed.

The world needs more like him, hearts bold and kind,
Who to cruelty and despair, refuse to be blind.
For it's in acts of courage, in moments so bleak,
We find the strength to give voice to the weak.

So here's to the brave, who stand tall and fight,
For every creature's right to live in the light.
May we learn from Luke, with his unconditional will,
To protect, to care, and to heal.

Be Satisfied

In the realm of the ever-turning wheel,
Where desires carve deep, and dreams feel real,
There's wisdom whispered in the quiet stone:
"Be satisfied with the life you've got; leave well enough alone."

In the chase for the distant, shining more,
We often miss the treasures at our door.
The simplest joys, into grandeur, have grown,
When we're satisfied with the life we've got, leaving well enough alone.

The laughter shared in the warmth of home,
The peace found in moments alone,
The beauty in the way the stars have shone,
Teach us to cherish the life we've got, to leave well enough alone.

For in longing for the hill's other side,
We miss the splendor of the ride.
The heart's quiet contentment, softly sown,
Finds us satisfied with the life we've got, leaving well enough alone.

So, let the world race to its frenzied beat,
In stillness, find your retreat.
In gratitude, let your seeds be thrown,
And be satisfied with the life you've got, leave well enough alone.

The Humble Dipole???

 WBCQ
500,000 Watts 20 Million Watt Gain
Variable Signal Width

In fields wide, where signals dance and streams,
I've raised towers high, touched the sky's seams.
And I've laid beams, sturdy, across the lands,
Yet found my heart tied to simpler bands.

For in the humble dipole's gentle reach,
There lies a lesson that the skies do teach.
Complexity not always does one need,
When simple strings of wire can far exceed.

I've worn the cloak of wealth, pockets deep,
And I've felt the pinch, when ends don't meet.
But through the highs and lows, one truth endures:
The essence of action, which life secures.

Not in the riches, nor in the dearth,
But in the doing, we find our worth.
For towers may fall, and beams may decay,
But the spirit of a doer stays in play.

So let us cherish the old dipole's grace,
And in our actions, find our rightful place.
For in the end, it's not what we acquire,
But what we do, that lifts us higher.

Two Humble Nests

In the realm where the bluebirds sing,
Two humble nests in springtime cling.
Spike O'Dell, with a curious eye,
Noticed one nest, under the sky,
Seemed not of bluebird make or kind—
A mystery nest, there to find.

With care, he reached to understand,
What creature had claimed this land.
But quick as lightning, from its lair,
Something darted through the air.
A bite or scratch, too fast to see,
Left Spike wondering, "What could it be?"

A photo taken, truth to tell,
Confirmed the tales Spike would dwell.
Not a bluebird, with feathers bright,
But a flying squirrel, in flight!
Nestled within, a surprise guest,
In the bluebird box, it chose to rest.

So let this tale remind us all,
Nature’s surprises, big and small.
In the dance of life, wild and free,
There’s more than what we think we see.
Spike’s adventure, by nests beguiled,
Shows the wonder of the wild.

One Step At A Time

One step at a time, let's tread this earth,
A journey of miles, starts with a single birth.
Each foot placed down with intent so clear,
Can change the world, near and dear.

With every step, let's plant a seed,
Of love, of hope, in every deed.
A tree that grows, tall and grand,
Spreading shade, across the land.

One smile, one word, of kindness spread,
Can lift a heart, heavy as lead.
A gesture small, a helping hand,
Can ripple out, across the sand.

Change doesn't call for grand displays,
But in simple acts, through everyday ways.
A choice to listen, to understand,
To walk in peace, across this land.

One step at a time, let's pave the way,
For brighter dawns, and kinder days.
For in each step, a chance resides,
To craft a world, where love abides.

So let's take that step, with hearts so bold,
To change the world, to shape its mold.
For step by step, with love as our guide,
We'll see the change, side by side.

A Comfort Gentle and Sweet

In a land where dreams weave through the air,
There's a vet, with a heart beyond compare.
In their clinic, where hope and healing meet,
There resides a comfort, gentle and sweet.

A dog, not just any, but one with a task,
In its presence, no fear, no mask.
To anxious souls, sick and frail,
This comfort dog tells a different tale.

With fur as soft as the morning's embrace,
And eyes that speak of a tranquil space.
It moves amongst those in need of a friend,
Whispering, "It's not the end."

No words are spoken, yet understood,
A bond in silence, for the greater good.
It's there to soothe, to calm, to ease,
In its presence, troubled hearts find peace.

"Everything will be alright," it seems to say, k
With every nuzzle, every stay.
Through its gentle touch, a magic flows,
Healing more than medicine knows.

In the US, this tale unfolds,
A story of compassion that never grows old.
A vet and a dog, in their care,
Show the world a love beyond compare.

So here's to the comfort dog, with a mission so bright,
Assisting, healing, bringing light.
In the realm of care, they stand tall,
Reminding us that love conquers all.

A Beacon of Divine Light

In the tapestry of life, where shadows play,
Where doubt and fear often sway,
There's a verse, a beacon of divine light,
Guiding us through the darkest night.

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear,"
A whisper that draws the weary near,
"But of power, and of love, and of a sound mind,"
In these words, a promise we find.

With power, we rise above the storm,
Our spirits resilient, our hearts warm.
In love, a foundation, deep and profound,
Where compassion and kindness abound.

A sound mind, a gift, to discern and to guide,
In wisdom's embrace, we confidently stride.
Together, these virtues form a steadfast shield,
In their light, the path ahead is revealed.

Fear has no hold, no claim on our soul,
For we're cradled in arms that make us whole.
In every challenge, every trial we face,
We're empowered by an unending grace.

So let us walk, not in shadows, but in light,
With faith as our compass, and hearts burning bright.
For we are called, not to fear, but to soar,
With a spirit of power, love, and much more.

2Ti 1:7  for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

To Surrender or Fight

In the heart of turmoil, where doubts arise,
Where the path ahead, obscured from our eyes,
A question lingers in the air, tense and grim,
To surrender or fight, on a whim?

But in this moment, a choice to be made,
Not of defeat, but of courage displayed.
To yield not to fear, but to a higher call,
Surrendering all, lest we fall.

To Him, we give our hopes, our dreams,
Our failures, our tears, our silent screams.
In surrender, we find a paradox so sweet,
In letting go, we're made complete.

For in the act of giving up control,
We find a strength that makes us whole.
God's promise comes alive, so real,
Equipping us with His zeal.

He arms us with grace, for every task,
In His presence, boldly we can bask.
With every step, through every trial,
He guides us, mile after mile.

So, when faced with the question, deep and dire,
To surrender or face the fire,
Choose to give everything, your all,
And watch as God breaks down every wall.

Through crisis, through storm, through darkest night,
Hold onto faith, hold onto His light.
For God will equip you, make you strong,
In His love, you'll find where you belong.

Tame Yet Wild

In the heart of my garden, under the whispering trees,
Mr. Fox found solace, a gentle, nurturing breeze.
Nine weeks ago, he wandered, into this life of mine,
Tame, yet wild, on freedom's fine line.

Sleeping 'neath the canopy, all wet and looking sad,
I thought of beds for comfort, to make his slumber glad.
Not for me, but for him, this haven I did weave,
An open door to enter and leave.

Critics may chatter, their words sharp and sour,
Misunderstanding my intent, in their judgemental hour.
But this is not captivity, nor a wish to tame,
Just a gesture of kindness, in life's harsh game.

His mate often joins him, in the night's silent hum,
Together they find refuge, from where they've come.
My partner and I, a promise we give,
For years to come, as long as we live.

In a world so fierce, my only quest,
Is to offer a bit of peace, a place to rest.
Elliana Bowers, that's me, trying to mend,
A bit of the broken, until the very end.

So, to the critics, I hope you see,
The heart of my actions, the wish to be free.
Not to own or to cage, but to kindly share,
A moment of comfort, in the chill evening air.
