I Seek Your Guidance

In the quiet hush of dawn's first light,
I seek your guidance, pure and bright.
Teach me, O Lord, your will to see,
That in your love, I may ever be free.

For you are my God, my shield, my stay,
Lead me on the path of your righteous way.
Let your spirit guide, gentle and profound,
Upon the level ground where peace is found.

In every step, let my heart delight,
To please you, Lord, with all my might.
Through valleys low and mountains steep,
Your steadfast spirit my soul will keep.

In your wisdom, may I find my part,
With a willing spirit and an open heart.
On level ground, let my footsteps tread,
By your good spirit may I be led.

Devine Call To Service

In the whispers of the divine, a call echoes clear,
Not a mandate to serve in ways drawn and near.
But a meeting with the essence of God so true,
Molding desires and dreams, in His light anew.

The call of the Lord, a reflection of His grace,
In my life, it finds a unique and fitting place.
Service, not a burden, but a joy so bright,
Emerging from a heart in His love alight.

Paul once spoke of a call, a vision divine,
To reveal His Son, through the spirit and sign.
Such service, a river from love's deep well,
No command it needs, in its depths to dwell.

A mirror of devotion, this service I bring,
Echoing the nature of the Heavenly King.
In relationship with Him, so rightly set,
His call I understand, without regret.

In the garden of God's love, service blooms,
A natural expression from a heart that assumes.
Driven by love, pure and unswayed,
In His steps, my path is lovingly laid.

This service, a gift of love, deliberate and sure,
Echoing His call, in a bond so pure.
My nature and His, in harmony blend,
In service united, till the very end.

His voice in mine, a chorus divine,
Together in service, seamlessly entwine.
The Son reveals Himself, in actions so kind,
In devotion to Him, my life's purpose I find.

God’s Love

Love God with all your heart and all your might
That God will Love and protect you through the night

Love is not limited to class or creed
God's Love is all you will ever need

His Love He gives to His Saints from above
He equally gives to the sinners He Loves

No one man is above the other
He taught us to love each other

We are not to condemn one over the other
Not seeing the inner heart like God, my brother

Love and encourage as Jesus taught
That our lives will forever be wrought

My Antenna

Which direction is my antenna facing
Is it facing the Author of All Creation

Keeping the signal headed in the right direction
Will greatly improve the weak reception

My spiritual antenna should be the same
With a bearing toward the Great I Am

Keeping QRM off to the side, my communication will be clear
Always being aware of a weak signal that I might hear

My spiritual antenna has many elements from the scriptures
Spaced for optimum power with the correct vectors

My needs and concerns auto-tune the Holy Spirit
So that maximum power may reach its limit

With clear communication, I will soon understand
The path of less inference for me He has planned

“Sing His Praise”

Sing to Him, in joyful tones, let melodies ascend,
Praise His name with heartfelt songs, let every voice blend.
Tell of His wondrous acts, in every verse and line,
For in His mighty deeds, does His love divine shine.

In every note, a story, of grace and endless care,
In every chorus, glory, His wonders we declare.
So, lift your voice in harmony, let praise forever be,
For in our songs and memories, His miracles we see

Psa 105:2  Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.

Wounded

Some days, I feel so wounded with nowhere to turn
The days are long and dreary my heart forever yerns

Then I see His light far far ahead
The closer I get the more I'm fed

When I am down and out with nowhere to turn
Seeking His guidance and light my heart begins to burn

Walking with him His light soothes my weary wounds
Making me whole again looking forward to His many rooms

Thank you, God, for not giving up on me
Following You Your Light forever I shall see

An Eye for an Eye equals a Stye

In the realm where grudges lie and fester,
Where vengeance whispers, a sinister jester,
An eye for an eye, a relentless cry,
Breeds not justice, but a stye.

Beneath the lid of wrath and scorn,
Blurs the vision, torn and worn,
For every eye plucked in bitter reply,
Leaves the world blind, with a weeping sky.

In the fields of spite, where retribution grew,
The seeds of pain and sorrow we anew,
An eye for an eye, in its hollow try,
Yields nothing more than a stye.

Let forgiveness be the balm that heals,
In a world where hate too freely reels,
For in the end, when we all must die,
Why choose an eye for an eye, and welcome a stye?

So, seek the path of kindness and grace,
Where understanding and love take revenge's place,
For in this wisdom, under the vast sky,
An eye for an eye will never equal a stye.

The Anatomy of a Christian

Looking at the anatomy of a Christian, what should I see
Should a Christian be Faithfull in the scriptures to a degree

Should a Christian shun his neighbor or Love him as his self
Should he help others in need from his own acquired wealth

Should a Christian have happiness and Joy from within
Are these fruits of the Spirit that should reside herein

The anatomy of a Christian should resemble the anatomy of Christ
For surely the actions of a Christian should be Christ-like

A Dream Unfolding

In the shadow of Lincoln, a dream was declared,
A dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident," he shared,
"That all men are created equal," his enduring theme.

In the sweltering heat of injustice and oppression,
A dream of freedom arose, refusing to wilt.
A dream that one day, without concession,
The sons of former slaves and slave owners could stand, guiltlessly built.

He dreamed that his children,
In a nation where they'd not be judged by skin,
Would unite in brotherhood, a new beginning,
In the symphony of freedom, a harmonious kin.

From every mountainside, let freedom ring,
From every city and hamlet, the dreamers sing.
With this faith, we carve a path, a new day to bring,
Joining hands, black and white together, freedom's bell to ring.

"We will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair, a stone of hope,"
With courage, we stand, with our dream, we cope.
With this faith, we face the uncertainties of the slope,
And in unity, we find the strength to grope.

From the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire,
To the mighty mountains of New York,
Let freedom ring, our dream declare,
Until justice rolls down like water, in our tireless work.

In His Steps

In a world where wisdom's sought,
The wise, the sages, all are taught.
Yet in this age, so bright and bold,
God's truth outshines the tales of old.

For in His wisdom, vast and deep,
He calls to those, their faith to keep.
Not through grand signs or wise debate,
But in His love that conquers hate.

Jews seek signs, the Greeks their lore,
Yet Christ crucified, who could ignore?
A stumbling block, a foolish game,
To those who seek but worldly fame.

Yet to the called, both near and far,
Jew and Greek, beneath His star,
Christ stands as power, wisdom true,
God's might and mind in view.

For what seems foolish in God's hand,
Surpasses wisdom of the land.
And in His weakness, strength is found,
A paradox where grace abounds.

So let us seek not just to know,
But in His steps, humbly go.
For in the folly of His cross,
Lies the path to gold from dross.
