For those of you who aren't familiar with the term
Believe me, it's embarrassing, to say the least
When they call you on the carpet and say you're not invited to the next feast

I didn't think what I did was that bad 
Hard times hit and I was dead broke
They said what I did was no joke

They passed the offering plate and I made change.
I put in a five and took out a twenty
I thought that would be a plenty

I felt the Lord was okay with that considering the situation I was in
The Deacons said I had committed a great sin. 

Since none of them didn't offer to help
I saw an opportunity to feed my whelp

Well they still parading to church in their fancy clothes
I'm Worshiping God on the park bench
Only the Lord knows. 

I'm thankful for what I got. Seems like I got more than they will ever see
Worldy things you can't take with you to the grave believe me

What I got will last through death
The Love of God is the very best

A smile is so infectious; keep smiling all your life through
Winning the race one day, your smile will follow you

Why was I born? A question asked since the beginning of time. 
The answer so far eludes me in my lifetime 

The one that has the answer, the master of the universe above 
I am but a single thread woven in the tapestry of his love 

The answer came to me one morn why I was born
To live each day serving others through the love of the Lord

Your Holy Spirit within me all the time
Carrying messages some even rhyme

If I Pray and plan there is no exhaustion at the end of the day 

Putting God first and relying on Him
Lightens my path Never growing dim

Putting first things first is the right thing to do
Starting your day like this God will

My friend has one he says I should

There are so many wants I don't know where to start 
I need to pause, hoping to find the truth in my heart

After taking time to think, I may not need it after all
There is a great chance it might lead to my downfall

Contentment I have found to be true
With it, I will not always be coveting you

Only to realize the depth of Love is infallible from our Creator
