Glorify God

Do you not know, beloved, the truth so clear,
Your body is a temple, sacred, dear.
Within you dwells the Spirit, pure and bright,
A gift from God, a beacon in the night.

You are not your own, this life bestowed,
Purchased with a price, a love that's owed.
The sacrifice, His blood, a crimson thread,
In every breath, His grace and mercy spread.

So honor Him with every step you take,
In deeds of love, for righteousness' sake.
Let purity and reverence be your song,
For in His temple, you forever belong.

Glorify God in body and in soul,
In every act, let holiness be your goal.
For you are cherished, precious in His sight,
A living temple, shining with His light.

1Co 6:19  Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,
1Co 6:20  for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Jesus Came to Play

Jesus came to play today
It was a hot and dusty day

We found ourselves by the creek under a shade tree.
There, we talked and let our imaginations run free.

All he wanted to talk about was His Heavenly Dad
I did not understand what He said. It made me glad.

He would form sparrows from the mud.
I would pretend they could fly.
He looked at me with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye

He clapped his hands, saying thank you, Father
The birds came to life. He was a Devine Potter.

He cautioned me I should not tell what I see.
The time has not come for people to believe in me

Our Father in Heaven

Happy Father's Day to our Father in Heaven,
Your love and grace, to us, are given.
There's only one gift I can humbly bring:
My trust and my love, from deep within.

In Your embrace, I find my peace,
From worries and burdens, You grant release.
With every prayer and every thought,
Your endless love is all I've sought.

Guiding me gently through each day,
Your light illuminates my way.
On this special day, I lift my voice,
In Your boundless love, I rejoice.

Happy Father's Day, my Lord above,
Receive my trust and all my love.

Cristo Redentor

Think of Rio de Janeiro, a city of grace,
A vision that comes to mind, a holy embrace.
Perched on Corcovado, high and grand,
Cristo Redentor with outstretched hand.

A granite sentinel, 2,300 feet high,
Looms above samba's rhythm and sky.
Christ the Redeemer, arms wide and kind,
Welcomes all, with a heart aligned.

"The first sight from airports, his open arms,
A brotherly presence, shielding from harms,"
Says designer Gilson, with pride and cheer,
A symbol of love, ever so near.

When journeys end and flights alight,
No need to seek, in day or night.
For he finds us, with a gentle glow,
Guiding us home, in Rio’s flow.

Happy Fathers Day to our earthly Fathers in Heaven

To all our Fathers who are in Heaven
Thank you for all the Love you have given

The many times you picked me up when I fell down
In my eyes, you always wore a crown

My heart aches with memories of Love
I have tears of Joy when your smile I think of

Thank you for never giving up on me
For the Loving-kindness you showed me

No matter the memory of others and their dad
They would not be here if it weren't in God's Plan

A Wonderful day to remember your forgiving Love
My heart can't wait to join you in Heaven above

Fathers Day

                                              Me and Santa Dad
Father's Day brings back many memories for me
Sitting on his knee singing Tiny Turned Up Nose to me

He played Santa at Christmas I was too young to understand
I thought there was something familiar
about the touch of His hand

As I look back at the pictures now
I can't believe I didn't recognize Him somehow

Some Dads are tender some Dads are tough
All Dads smell good to their kids because their hot stuff

Whether your Dad is living or in Heaven
There aren't enough words to describe what they have given

A Grandmother’s Care

Screenshot
In childhood's dawn, a tale unfolds,
Of tender hearts and stories told,
A mother’s choice, a grandmother’s care,
In a world that seemed so unfair.

At five, four, and one, we were left behind,
By a mother who turned from love’s kind,
Our grandmother, at seventy-three,
Embraced us with a heart so free.

The judge inquired, could she provide?
With courage strong, she did decide,
To raise us well, with love so grand,
In city streets or country land.

But sorrow struck, a painful theft,
Our savings gone, our hearts bereft,
Mother took what wasn’t hers,
Leaving wounds that time deters.

Yet through the pain, a light did shine,
Our grandmother’s love, pure and divine,
She moved us far, to greener fields,
Where broken hearts had time to heal.

Football games and concerts played,
Piano notes in sweet parade,
Weddings, births, life’s milestones passed,
Mother missed them, chose her path.

But grandmother, with strength and grace,
Filled our lives with love’s embrace,
She saw us grow, and guided true,
Her wisdom old, yet ever new.

She lived to ninety-seven years,
Her loss brought forth our deepest tears,
Engraved in stone, our hearts declare,
“Forever in our hearts” is there.

In memories, her teachings stay,
Her love remains, come what may,
Our angel now in heaven’s light,
Guiding us through darkest night.

For in her arms, we found our way,
Through childhood’s night to bright today,
Her legacy, a love so vast,
A beacon from our cherished past.

Faith’s Light

Let your faith be bigger than your fear,
A beacon bright, both strong and clear.
In times of darkness, when shadows loom,
Let faith's light dispel the gloom.

When doubt and worry cloud your mind,
In faith, a guiding star you'll find.
A trust so deep, a hope so strong,
It carries you through trials long.

Let your heart hold steady, firm and true,
In faith, there's nothing you can't do.
For fear may whisper in the night,
But faith will always shine its light.

With every step, let courage rise,
Faith lifts your spirit to the skies.
In storms of life, stand bold and near,
Let your faith be bigger than your fear.

Only God Can Heal

All the law can do is kill,
Impose its will, sharp and still.
Cold justice, swift and stern,
In its grasp, hearts may burn.

Yet in the shadow of the law’s decree,
Where souls may falter, lose their plea,
There blooms a hope, a light revealed,
Only God, through His Son, can heal.

For where the law ends, grace begins,
Breaking chains, absolving sins.
In Christ, the wounded find their balm,
In His embrace, a healing calm.

All the law can do is bind,
But in His love, true peace we find.
Beyond the verdict, beyond the seal,
Only God, through His Son, can heal.

A Joy in Christ

In trials faced, rejoice in heart,
Though grief may come, and tears may start.
For every sorrow, every pain,
Brings forth a faith that shall remain.

Refined like gold in fire’s embrace,
Your faith, a treasure, shows its grace.
Though unseen, yet you love Him still,
His presence felt, your soul to fill.

In every moment, trust and find
A joy in Christ, pure and refined.
Though eyes can’t see, your heart believes,
And in His promise, peace receives.

For at the end, when all is done,
Salvation’s gift through Christ is won.
A glorious joy beyond compare,
Eternal life in love’s sweet care.

1Pe 1:6  In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.
1Pe 1:7  These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
1Pe 1:8  Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
1Pe 1:9  for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
