When I Pray by night and day I feel Safe In the Arms of Jesus When I walk with HIM night and day I feel safe in the Arms of JESUS When I’m tired and weary and lay my head down to sleep I feel safe in the Arms of JESUS When I wake up alert and ready for the day I feel safe in the Arms of JESUS When I grow old and feeble I feel safe in the Arms of JESUS When I walk through the Valley of Death I feel safe in the Arms of JESUS When I reach That Golden Shore I will be safe in the Arms of Jesus Resting there Forevermore
A Stranger knocketh at the door for me I am afraid to answer his knock I plea Letting him in could change my life Letting him in could bring much strife I jarred the door to see what I might see Oh the Glory that my eyes beheld In front of me That STRANGER was sent from GOD above. To fill my lonely Heart with HIS LOVE So if a stranger you should meet Take a closer look before you retreat He may be sent from GOD Above To fill your empty life with HIS love
When the Sun comes up in the morning Did you ever think to see That’s the LORD’S FACE, Shining on you and me. He Blesses us and Keeps us no matter where we go. A knock on the door I heard straight away Someone crying May I come in today Afraid to respond to them right away Fearing they may want to extend their stay The same annoying knock came day after day Forcing response in an unwanted way I cracked the door and what did my eyes see The shining light of love standing before me I cried out GOD Why have YOU chosen me You are made in MY Image can’t you see I felt Warm LOVE I’ve never felt before I wish I hadn’t tarried so long in opening the door
The Life of CHRIST is what I would like to see So that I might follow in his footsteps and be set free Where do I look for this life foreign to me I suspect the scriptures would be the Key Another would be, one who has found the way They can point you to HIS Footprints I Pray When you see them in the distance afar Don’t give up, Keep traveling closer to the star When you reach close enough for HIS love to feel Bow your head and thank HIM as you kneel
