In honor of K9 Rico, brave and true,
A hero so faithful with a heart so pure.
He stood by their side, his loyalty sure,
In the line of duty, he paid his due.
SLED Chief Mark Keel, with somber tone,
Announced the loss, a heavy toll.
K9 Rico, with courage in his soul,
With every bark, with every stride,
He answered the call, never to hide.
A guardian of law, by their side,
In his memory, our hearts swell with pride.
In the quiet of night, under the stars' soft glow,
We remember K9 Rico, a noble fellow.
He gave his all, his bravery aglow,
For his fellow officers, he'll forever be a hero.

In Mesa's realm, a hero stood,
A loyal heart, both strong and good.
K9 Sir, a valiant name,
In honor, we light the flame.
A Belgian Malinois, full of grace,
Marched with courage, in every space.
With Officers by his side,
They faced the trials, far and wide.
In the line of duty's call,
They gave their best, gave it all.
A tragic morn, tears we shed,
For K9 Sir, our hearts now bled.
Rest in peace, canine of might,
Your dedication, shining light.
Though you've crossed the rainbow's end,
In our hearts, you'll always mend.
With sorrow deep, our voices soar,
In memory of the hero we adore.
K9 Sir, forever brave,
In our souls, you've found a grave.

Police K9s are a very special breed
Following every command and every need
They know no fear only performing their job day in and day out
So anxiously waiting to hear their commands shout
Always willing to follow every order of command
Whether protection or charging ahead to apprehend
Having no fear of giving his life
His memory will be his sacrifice

Service K9s are an extremely rare breed
They are devoted to their handler responding to every need
They have no fear always marching into action
Following every command with a positive reaction
Doing their duty is the only fame they proclaim
Giving their all is the sacrifice for their fame

We're little Gators our Mama giving us a ride
We're too little to get off and try to hide
She says one day we will be big enough to be on our own
Like any kid, we can't wait for that to come along
Until then we're as happy as can be
Just waiting for our Mama to set us free

In a cage, a life confined,
A canine soul, forever confined,
Tears in his eyes, a spirit forlorn,
Rescue came, a glimmer of hope born.
Dumped on the road, abandoned and frail,
A tale of cruelty that makes hearts wail,
Those who harm innocent beings like thee,
A place of darkness is where they should be.
Oh, if only they knew the love you bring,
The joy that blossoms from your being,
A lesson learned, a plea to impart,
Only get a pet if you open your heart.
He walks beside you, learning to be free,
Discovering the world, as it should be,
Beside you on your daily quest,
A loyal companion, trust manifest.
With cautious steps, he's finding his way,
From trembling paws, to playful play,
A runner holds him, just for a while,
To protect him from an early trial.
He longs to frolic with feline grace,
But eagerness makes their encounters a chase,
Patience, dear friend, it won't be long,
Till harmony reigns, and peace becomes strong.
Sweet and obedient, his heart beats true,
Grateful for love and care, bestowed by you,
Through gentle guidance, he learns to abide,
A transformation witnessed, side by side.
Oh, how he yearns to roam without bounds,
To explore the fields, the sights and sounds,
As his spirit finds solace, fear takes flight,
Soon, the runner will yield, setting him alight.
In your embrace, he discovers trust,
A bond unbreakable, forged with just,
A flicker of kindness, a nurturing hand,
Rescued from darkness, he now understands.
So let us remember, with empathy and grace,
The forgotten souls, longing for a place,
To all the rescuers, heroes unsung,
Thank you for bringing hope to each one.

The cat in a hat is a sight to see.
Why would a cat need a hat to even be.
Not sure of the answer; I think it’s coming to me.
The cat needs a hat to bring a smile to escape senility.
A smile will significantly increase your ability.

Amanda and Zoey made a Hat for their Cat last night 😂
Peter Cotton Tail was much less commercial back in my day
There were no plastic eggs. Just children wanting to play.
All dressing in our Sunday Best
Going to our church being overly blest
The Easter Egg hunt was in the afternoon.
Searching for the eggs was over way too soon
The Easter meal was a sight to behold
Ham with all the trimmings never served cold
Back to church again that night. Worshiping God with all our might
Thanking God in every way that His Son Jesus rose on the third day

I'm Ginger, as cute as I can be
I live on a farm with Brad and Cheryl
I like to wallow under their tree
Their so kind to me, feeding me Very well every day
I'm a little suspicious, Thinking of running away
Everyone treats my relatives exceptionally well every day
They seem to disappear from where they stay
Oh well, enough to worry about now
Root and snort and escape somehow
If I show up missing in the future
Please check with their Butcher

Do you remember the day you came home with us from the shelter?
You were so excited. Your tail wagging so fast, it never stopped.
It was around Thanksgiving. They had named you Turkey. Not a very fitting name for a Lab mix. However, it may have helped with your adoption.
The staff shed a tear when you walked out the front door. They cared for you so much because you were so full of love.
They even sent you a coat to wear. They were afraid you would get cold because you had no hair.
Your ribs showing and being underweight did not slow you down.
You jumped into the car, pressing your nose as far forward as you could.
Not knowing where you were going, accepting what was ahead. Fully trusting your future to us.
It will soon be my time to go Jax. I hope I can go with as much excitement, love, and trust as you had.
Not knowing exactly where I’m going but only knowing it’s going to be good.
Giving my total trust to my Creator.
My sight is dim now. I can feel your cold nose pressing into my hand. I feel a teardrop from your eye. Jax don’t cry.
Play with the grandkids and kiss them goodbye for me.
When you miss me, look to the sky.
Know that I did not die.
I’m just waiting.
