I went to see Grandma today
We had so much fun when we'd play
The things I learned have been invaluable throughout my life
She taught me how to shop for produce
The feeling of tomatoes that were not too soft and loose
Learning about and gauging the weight of flour and sugar
Being sure what she wanted was the one, I took her
How to write a check to pay for such items
was one of my many life lessons
As time moves on, I now reminisce
Thanking Grandma for her last kiss

What is the definition of becoming old
It's different for different people, I'm told
Some say it's their age in years
Others don't seem to care
Some are proud of their age and have broadcast since birth
Others wouldn't reveal their age for anything on earth
You're as old as you feel. I heard a wise person say
Not being sure of the reality, the thought does go a long way
Our bodies may grow old and feeble
Our souls remain very stable
Our bodies tend to grow old with age
Our souls grow in wisdom no matter the stage
You are indeed as old as you feel
The key to keeping your soul in God’s will

The cold nights and warm days, the maple syrup starts to flow
Being God's Plan from the very get-go
In the good times and bad times, our spirit begins to flow
How and why this happens, we'll never know
Thank you for the plan you made long ago
For sending Your Son Jesus that your will we may know

Have I taken the time to meet myself
Only rushing by with my mind on a shelf
Do I take life seriously or look at it hysterically
What is the difference between happy and sad
Is it the same as being glad or mad
Who knows what my mind will conjure
up next
Will it be something evil or something good found in my text
Do I have an inner compass that points to who knows where
Had I instead looked you in the eye and laughed, cried, or swear
The confusion seems to be the basis of my thoughts
I heard from my past what God has wrought
The answer to my curious mind
Hoping to find it before I do the crime

The Honey Bee, by all earthly accounts, shouldn't even be
Not knowing it can't fly, it doesn't even have to try
A marvel of engineering made, no one knows how long ago
Navigates today's world even when buzzing very low
Their social system seems to exceed ours by far
Not fighting amongst themselves for an invisible star
Each has a job to do, assigned by the Creator of the universe
Their lives run so smoothly, never having to rehearse
The moral of this story, I think, should be
Follow God's will for your life, just like the Honey Bee

How many wins have I won along the way
We're my wins for me or others; I helped today
Winning a worldly game takes much effort and planning
A spiritual win comes from much prayer and understanding
Loosing many physical games in life
may cause some excess strife
My spirit within me lifts me up and sets me free
Those looking from without may say
How can you continue this way
By holding my head up high and leaning on Jesus, I continue to pray

Far future. Portrait of handsome man in worker denim shirt looking into distance, holding hand over eyes and watching horizon with attentive view. indoor studio shot isolated on blue background
Every living being is in search of its beginning
To feel its Masters touch that keeps it living
My desire to find the One that Loved me so
To create my very being and make me whole
The Love that dwells up within, to even imagine I have such a friend
Who can create something with life and love it to the end
My mind can not fathom such a power to make me
Then Loving me enough to set me free
Only the Living God has that Power to be

Summer lakeshore scene displayed through a transparnt glass ball in Cold Lake, Alberta
Focus on your family your religion and Almighty God Himself
By doing this, the rest of your life will take care of itself
There will be times you may stumble and start to fall
Jesus extending His arms breaking you from them all
Keep your eye on the Heavenly prize
The race you will win
Putting your faith into practice over and over again

If I could see this blue marble through the eyes of a child
There would be no more hate
Only flowers that grow wild
Love would abound, warm smiles and hugs
Taking only time to chase lightning bugs
Not being aware and free from all cares
In a beautiful world where no one swears
Time to wake up and face reality
This only lives in my dreams I see
This old cruel world is full of hate and sin
Accepting Jesus gives a new view from within

His music was of such great Worth
It had to be heard
He thought and thought and made the
Little Bird
Morning noon or night, all of His Creatures sing to His Delight
As the day breaks, as the sun sets, His Symphony continues in the night
His Greatness never being withheld from His promised land
His Love and Mercy directing His Holy band
All creatures with life bow down, lifting their voices to the sky
Worshiping their Devine Maker seated on High
When all earth is silent, and there is no more sound
Heaven will be ringing with Heavenly
Music all around
