A blessing or a curse

What makes my possessions a blessing or a curse
It is with the intention I carry my purse

From my heart is it my desire to help others
Or better myself with no thought of my brothers

Is my heart full of love and giving
Is my heart full of greedy living

Judis found one day the money he had taken was a sinful crime
Turning into his eternal damnation
over time

I must be careful with what I have using it with Love and Grace
So that others find a glimpse of His Glorious Face

I Pray Lord, keep me on the straight and narrow
That I may share your love forever

Time To Honor

In the land where courage flowed like rivers,
Amidst the battles fought and scars that shiver,
Stood the warriors of Vietnam's strife,
Their spirits were tested, their souls for life.
Time was served, their duty fulfilled,
In jungles deep, where hope was instilled,
With every step through a treacherous land,
They marched with valor, united they stand.
Through darkened nights and thunderous roars,
They pressed on, as brothers, amidst war's scores,
The echoes of gunfire, the cries of pain,
Yet in their hearts, the flame remained.
Now is the time, to honor their plight,
To embrace their stories, bathed in the light,
For their sacrifice and unwavering will,
Deserves our gratitude, forever still.
Let us remember their unwavering might,
In fields of battle, where darkness took flight,
For in their hearts, the flame did burn,
With bravery and honor, they did yearn.
They returned home, some broken and scarred,
But their spirit endured, never to discard,
Their sacrifice echoes through the years,
A testament to strength, amidst the tears.
So let the banners rise, with pride unfurled,
In reverence for the heroes of the world,
Vietnam veterans, their time has come,
To be acknowledged, their valor won.
For in their eyes, we see the truth,
The cost of freedom, the eternal youth,
In every heartbeat, their memories thrive,
A debt we owe, as long as we're alive.
Time was served, Vietnam veterans,
Now is the time, to honor again,
With gratitude and respect, we pay,
To those who fought, on that fateful day.

Thank you, Lord

Good morning, we needed that rain,
A prayer whispered a heartfelt refrain.
"Father, watch over us this day,
Keep evil forces at bay."
In the armor of God, we find our strength,
As we walk the path of faith, at length.
The belt of truth, a reminder profound,
That God's sovereignty shall abound.
The breastplate of righteousness we wear,
Guarding our hearts with utmost care.
For in our emotions, lies vulnerability,
Yet, with God's righteousness, we find stability.
The shoes of the gospel, a firm foundation,
Spreading peace and love in every situation.
Through storms and trials, we'll remain,
A source of calm, an encouragement's gain.
In You, O Lord, we place our trust,
In Your promises, we know we must.
For You are our hope, our guiding light,
In Your presence, all things become right.
So, as we venture forth on this new day,
In prayer, we humbly bow and say,
"Watch over us, Father, with love and care,
Keep evil at bay, hear our fervent prayer."
Amen.

No more cataracts for me

macro human eye
No more cataracts for me
Since Jesus came in I can see

Lifting the scales from my eyes
I now see the truth to my surprise

Jesus is the Truth Way and the light
walking with Him no more stumbling in
the night

New eyes I now have since Jesus came to me
Filling my Heart full of Love and Grace that I may see

I bow my head and thank God for the spiritual surgery He performed on me
Removing evil and transplanting Love that through Jesus he set me free

Without Him

Side view portrait of a sad depressed black man sitting on a bench in a park
Without Him, I could do nothing
All I wanted was to be something

The more I tried the worse it became
Deep within me, I could feel the flames

I cried somebody help me and show me the way
I heard a gentle voice say Jesus is on the way

Please please hurry I'm at the end of my rope
I'm afraid what I will do I can no longer cope

Then a feeling of Peace came from within.
I fell to my knees crying thank you again and again

I now live a life without despair
I know My Jesus cares

As the Saints go marching in

As the Saints go marching in
I see the faces of those on the BFN

The faces of my family and friends
The faces of the homeless that met their end

I see the faces of the little children he loved so much
The faces of those he gave a healing touch

No rhyme or reason to those who God touched in His season
Thank You, Lord I'm in that number marching in for no reason

Thank you, Lord, for sending Your Son Jesus to Save us from sin
That when we hear the trumpet call we will be praising about Name as we March in

It’s Empty Now

In the echoes of a fading day, we stood,
A bittersweet moment, a bond understood.
With heavy hearts and tearful eyes,
We gathered, as time bid its goodbyes.
Our childhood home, a vessel of years,
Embracing laughter, sorrow, and shared tears.
A sanctuary of love, sheltered and warm,
Now stood empty, stripped of its form.
The walls, once adorned with our youthful art,
Whispered tales of joy, etched deep in every part.
Each room a canvas, a story untold,
Where memories danced and secrets were hold.
A picture we took, on the back porch we stood,
A family united, a moment of brotherhood.
Yet tears welled up, a dam ready to break,
As our mother's words pierced, a heartache to take.
"It's all empty now," she softly sighed,
Her voice trembling, emotions implied.
And in that fragile moment, we knew,
A chapter had ended, a farewell was due.
Fifty-four years of life's tapestry woven,
Each thread a memory, a treasure unbroken.
The price we pay for love's sweet embrace,
Is the pain of parting, the ache we must face.
But hope springs eternal, in moments of despair,
As we turn to our Savior, our burdens to share.
We cry out to Jesus, with faith so profound,
To restore all things, where love knows no bound.
For the next goodbye looms, in the realm of time,
To bid farewell to parents, cherished and prime.
The tears may flow, like a river so wide,
Yet in Him we find solace, our hope shall abide.
In the tapestry of life, memories we hold dear,
May they fill our hearts, and banish every fear.
For the empty house is but a vessel of the past,
But love and hope in Him forever will last.
So let the tears fall, let them cleanse the soul,
As we navigate the journey, towards the ultimate goal.
For in our Father's arms, our solace shall be,
An eternity of love, where goodbyes cease to be.
