The family of God

Some had a good family. Some had evil families. Some had no family at all.
Whatever your situation, you will get through it all.

By joining the family of God, you are never left alone.
God Everlasting is always on his throne.

He will give you peace, joy, and contentment in your every need.
When you accept his son Jesus
You will be completely free.

Being in the Family of God will bring peace in any situation.
Relying on him will bring much-needed illumination.

Taking time to pray and thank Him today.
For His love and Mercy, he bestows all along the way.

Rock

What kind of rock are you familiar with, rock that you have seen
That would depend on the part of the country where you have been

The Red rocks of Arizona or the limestone in Kentucky
Wherever you live, you are blest and so lucky

The Rock of my life is Jesus Christ Himself
Seeing Him as Almighty God myself

He's the Rock of my Salvation, the Rock of Hope for the future
I'm only a tiny pebel in His Rock of the total picture

God can take a tiny pebel and make for him a Gem
Oh, the pressures that come with that may seem so grim

Whichever Rock you stand on over your lifetime
Make sure it's a Solid Rock, not on sinking sand

Bow your head and prayerfully say
Thank you, God, for being my Rock today

The best thing I can do today

The best thing I can do today
Be kind and gentle as I work and play

Don't talk badly about anyone
Not knowing what race they've won

Give a lift-up if someone is down
That will add a star to your crown

Say Hey Neighbor to all you greet, lifting their spirits and being so sweet

The best thing I can do, removing the smile from my pocket and sharing with you

Multitasking

Multistakin is an art strangely possessed by only a few.
The few seemed to be richly blessed by what they could do.

Often trying multitasking, only failing in what I do.
Not being able to walk and chew gum at the same time without it sticking to my shoe.

Well, what can I say? Bless those who can perform more than one task at at a time
To me, it just seems like a doggone crime

Wandering

I have wandered in my life
Causing great family strife

Wandering far away from home
It would be better on my own

Wandering away from the church
That's when I began to search

Not returning to the Church building
Being cared for by God’s children

Changing my heart and clearing my vision
Wandering no more, Worshiping in every season

The Mountain

Climbing the mountain and reaching the summit, giving it all you've got.
I exerted every ounce of energy, collapsing on the spot.

Was it worth it? Was it not?
Oh, the vast beauty I've seen in this holy spot.

Few expend the energy to get where I got.
It is well worth the effort to reach the very top.

Sights I've never seen before that take my breath away,
It gives me much more confidence in every which way

Some stay down low; some scale the heights.
Whatever your destiny, keep God in your sights.

Ordinary event

Thank you, God, for taking an ordinary event, turning it into something from heaven sent

My life was most ordinary until I found you
Accepting Your Son Jesus brought Love through and through

The difference between night and day, I can't explain it away.

Proclaiming your name in every way
Since Jesus banished my sin away

Nuggets

Chunks are usually small, being of great worth to us all

Worldly nuggets may be of gold, diamonds, or silver
Many other things lurking in the river

Spiritual nuggets may be wisdom, knowledge, or understanding
Lurking in the Crystal River of God
Illuring our understanding

How do I mine such nuggets I can't touch
The answer being I look in the Bible to uncover such

The deeper I probe, the more nuggets I find
Proving it to be a motherload gold mine

The further I look, the larger they become
There is no end to where they come from

The more I learn, the less I know
Thank God I continue to grow
