THE SPOT

Painting by Spike O’Dell W4WGN Brentwood Tennessee
There was an old story in our family
Don’t know if it’s true or not

Great Grandpa Percy
Used his yard for a Bank
They said where he put it he forgot

Never thought much about it
Till I got down on my luck

Then I prayed to GOD
He would show me the Spot

Covid Vaccine

Covid Vaccine there is much confusion
It seems to be an illusion

Is it good or bad
Is it from GOD above or the devil below
Will, we ever know

Since good things come from GOD
And bad things from the devil

I guess it’s up to you
To decide if it’s good or evil

Red Bird

Painting by Spike O’Dell W4WGN Brentwood Tennessee
The Red Bird comes to visit
He always seems so pleasant

I’ve heard their Angels from above
Looking after us with their Love

A relative they might be
Looking in on us
To see what they can see

Either way I stop and Pray
I thank God for sending them my way

CRYSTAL ONYX CAVE

Crystal Onyx Cave is a Majestic Place to see
It remained undiscovered for thousands of years from you and me.

Only when GOD was ready
Would it be revealed

It’s beauty to behold
Brings forth its life unsealed

Seeing it brings awe to your soul
Knowing GODS GREATEST WORKS
Are there to behold

Peace Within

When I accepted JESUS CHRIST
He gave me peace within

Why HE ever wanted to, I cannot see
It had something to do with saving me

It’s not like earthly peace you feel
After enjoying a good Thanksgiving meal

It’s Peace from GOD only brought from above
An unexplainable never-ending river of love

It cleanses your Soul and sets you free
Bringing HIS Abundant Peace and Love to me

Praise HIS NAME Praise HIS NAME Praise HIS NAME
HIS LOVE forever to proclaim

The Old #3 General

I was built in 1855
As sturdy as could be

I was strong and heavyweight
For whoever needed me

I could move people
I could move supplies
I could move most anything in GOD’S eyes

It was not for me to decide
What they used me for was right or wrong

It was only for me
To be very strong

I worked hard all day and night
Never a moment of fright

I did the best I could
All day and all night

One day I got tired
New Engines had come along

I retired without a regret
Still with a happy song

My whistle I still hear
In echos of days gone by

Remembering the hardships
without even a cry

I’m resting now
In the Southern Museum of Civil war
And Locomotive History

For all to see
And remember me

The moment of Mystery
When I made History
