Scripture:
Colossians 4:17
"And say to Archippus, ‘See that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord.’"

Reflection:
In Colossians 4:17, Paul gives a personal and direct charge to Archippus to fulfill the ministry he has received from the Lord. This verse serves as a reminder to each of us that we have been entrusted with specific responsibilities and callings by God. Our Father, in His infinite wisdom, knows our abilities, strengths, and potential, and He assigns us tasks accordingly.

Fulfilling our ministry means being faithful to the work God has called us to do, whether it is within our church, community, or personal relationships. It involves dedication, perseverance, and a reliance on God’s strength and guidance. The encouragement to Archippus is relevant to us today as we navigate our own paths and responsibilities.

It’s essential to remember that our ministry, whatever it may be, is given to us by the Lord. This means it is significant and purposeful, crafted by God who knows what is best for us and for those we serve. When we embrace our calling, we honor God and contribute to His kingdom in unique and meaningful ways.

Sometimes, fulfilling our ministry can be challenging. We might face obstacles, doubts, or discouragement. In these moments, it’s crucial to trust that God’s plan is perfect and that He will provide what we need to succeed. By staying committed and faithful, we demonstrate our trust in His wisdom and His provision.

Scripture:
Titus 2:13
"While we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,"

Reflection:
Titus 2:13 speaks to the anticipation and hope we have as believers in Jesus Christ. We are encouraged to look forward to the "blessed hope," which is the glorious return of our Savior. This hope is not a passive wish but an active, joyful expectation rooted in the promises of God.

Our Father knows the importance of hope in our lives. He understands that in a world filled with uncertainties and challenges, the hope of Christ's return provides us with strength and encouragement. This hope is a reminder that our current circumstances are temporary and that a glorious future awaits us.

As we wait for Jesus' return, we are called to live in a way that reflects our faith and hope. This means living righteously and godly lives, as outlined in the preceding verses of Titus 2. Our actions and attitudes should reflect our anticipation of His coming, demonstrating the transformative power of His grace in our lives.

The promise of Jesus' return also reassures us of God's ultimate plan and sovereignty. Our Father knows best, and His timing is perfect. While we may not know the exact moment of Christ's return, we can trust that it will happen according to God's perfect plan.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the blessed hope of Jesus' return. Help us to live in joyful anticipation of this glorious event, reflecting Your grace and love in our daily lives. Strengthen our faith and encourage our hearts as we wait, trusting in Your perfect timing and plan. May our lives be a testimony to the hope we have in Christ. Amen.

Thought for the Day:
Live each day with the joyful anticipation of Christ's return. Trust in God's perfect plan and let the hope of His coming transform your actions and attitudes, knowing that our Father knows best.

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE
by Mark C. Waldrop

A little girl sat quietly
Beside her fading friend
A tiny heartbeat slowing now,
A journey near its end.

She stroked his fur so softly,
As tears began to fall…
For he had been her sunshine
Since she was very small.

She whispered words of comfort,
Her voice a trembling song
The same one he had heard from her
When days were bright and long.

“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine…”
She sang with tender care,
Her tears became a lullaby
A love beyond compare.

He lifted up his weary eyes,
To look at her once more
A silent thank-you in his gaze
For all the years before.

The room grew still and quiet,
The moment soft and slow…
She held him as the light went out
She couldn’t let him go.

But love does not leave empty,
Love does not fade or stray
For sunshine never truly dies,
It simply finds its way.

And somewhere past the rainbow,
Where gentle spirits roam
A little cat is resting now
In fields that feel like home.

And every time she sings that song,
So soft it melts the air
He comes back as her sunshine
To warm her everywhere.

Love Never Dies

Scripture:
Psalm 27:1-2
"The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall."

Reflection:
Psalm 27 is a powerful declaration of trust in God's protection and guidance. David, the author, confidently proclaims the Lord as his light and salvation, his stronghold in times of trouble. These verses remind us that our Father knows best how to protect and guide us through life's challenges.

When we recognize the Lord as our light, we acknowledge His role in illuminating our path, dispelling darkness, and guiding us with His wisdom. As our salvation, God is our deliverer, the one who rescues us from danger and harm. This understanding provides us with a profound sense of security and peace, knowing that God is actively working for our good.

The phrase "whom shall I fear?" reflects a deep trust in God's sovereignty and power. When God is the stronghold of our life, we can face any situation with courage, knowing that He is our refuge and strength. This assurance diminishes our fears and helps us to stand firm in faith, regardless of the circumstances.

David's confidence that his enemies will stumble and fall is rooted in his faith in God's justice and protection. Our Father knows best how to handle those who seek to harm us. When we trust in Him, we can be assured that He will act on our behalf, ensuring that evil will not prevail.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being our light, salvation, and stronghold. Help us to trust in Your protection and guidance, knowing that You know what is best for us. Strengthen our faith and give us courage to face our fears, confident that You are with us. Protect us from those who seek to harm us and guide us in Your righteous path. Amen.

Scripture:
2 Timothy 2:11
"Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him;"

Reflection:
This verse from 2 Timothy offers a profound truth about our relationship with Jesus Christ. It encapsulates the essence of our faith: union with Christ in both His death and His life. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we symbolically die with Him, putting to death our old sinful nature. This death is not the end but a transformative beginning, leading to new life in Christ.

Our Father knows that true life is found in Jesus. By dying to our old selves, we are freed from the bondage of sin and given a new identity in Christ. This new life is marked by hope, purpose, and a deep, abiding relationship with God. It’s a life that reflects His love, grace, and truth.

Living with Christ means embracing the fullness of His resurrection power. It means experiencing His presence in our daily lives and allowing His Spirit to guide and transform us. This new life is not without its challenges, but we can face them with confidence, knowing that we are united with Christ and empowered by His resurrection.

This trustworthy saying reassures us that our Father’s plan for us is perfect. He knows that through our union with Christ, we will experience true and abundant life. Our Father’s wisdom is evident in this divine exchange—our old life for a new, vibrant life in Jesus.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the profound truth that in dying with Christ, we are given new life in Him. Help us to embrace this new life fully, trusting in Your perfect plan and wisdom. Strengthen our faith and guide us by Your Spirit, so that we may live in a way that reflects Your love and grace. Amen.

Thought for the Day:
Embrace the new life that comes from dying with Christ. Trust that our Father knows best and has given you a life of hope, purpose, and joy in Jesus.

Daily Devotional: Our Father Knows Best

Scripture:
Matthew 7:11
"If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!"

Reflection:
This verse from Matthew 7:11 is a profound reminder of God’s loving and generous nature. Jesus uses the analogy of earthly parents to highlight how much more our Heavenly Father desires to give us good things. Even flawed human parents know how to provide for their children, so how much more can we trust in the perfect love and wisdom of our Father in heaven?

When we consider our requests and desires, it’s comforting to remember that God knows what is best for us. He sees the bigger picture and understands our needs far better than we do. Our Father is not just willing but eager to provide for us in ways that align with His perfect will.

This promise encourages us to come to God with our requests, knowing that He hears us and cares deeply about our needs. It’s a call to trust in His goodness and to have confidence that He will give us what is truly good for us. Sometimes, this might mean that His answers look different from what we expect, but we can be assured that His gifts are always rooted in love and wisdom.

As we pray and seek God’s provision, let’s do so with the assurance that our Father knows best. He delights in blessing His children, and we can rest in the knowledge that His plans for us are good.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your incredible love and generosity. Help us to trust in Your perfect wisdom and to bring our requests before You with confidence. Teach us to rely on Your goodness, knowing that You always give us what is best. Strengthen our faith and remind us daily of Your unfailing love. Amen.

Thought for the Day:
Trust in the goodness and generosity of your Heavenly Father. He knows what is best for you and delights in giving good things to those who ask Him. Rest in His perfect love and wisdom.

Love Doesn’t Die — It Changes Shape

Love Doesn’t Die — It Changes Shape

Love doesn’t die, it just changes shape
from warm embrace to memory’s gate.
From spoken words to whispered prayer,
from holding hands to knowing they’re there.

It softens into morning light,
a quiet strength through darkest night.
It lingers sweet in songs once sung,
in stories told, in hearts still young.

It lives in laughter after tears,
in small reminders through the years.
Though time may pass and seasons break,
love doesn’t die—it just changes shape.

It moves from touch to something more,
a presence felt, a closeness sure.
And though we ache, and though we weep,
love roots itself in places deep.

So when you feel that tender ache,
when silence stretches long and great,
know this is love—still warm, still true
changing shape, but never leaving you.

1Co 13:8  Love never fails.

Scripture:
Colossians 2:9-10
"For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority."

Reflection:
These verses from Colossians remind us of the profound truth about Jesus Christ and our relationship with Him. In Jesus, the fullness of deity dwells bodily. This means that Jesus is fully God, embodying all the attributes and power of the divine. Understanding this helps us grasp the magnitude of His authority and love.

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are filled in Him. This means that we are complete in Him, lacking nothing because we have the fullness of Christ within us. Our Father knows that in our own strength, we are incomplete and often feel insufficient. But in Jesus, we are made whole.

Jesus, who is the head of all rule and authority, has the power to guide and sustain us through every situation. Trusting in His supremacy and His presence within us gives us the confidence to face life’s challenges. We are not alone; we are empowered by the One who holds all authority.

Living in this truth encourages us to rely on Jesus for wisdom, strength, and direction. Our Father’s plan for us includes living in the fullness of Christ, experiencing His love and power daily. This perspective transforms how we see ourselves and our circumstances, knowing that we are equipped and complete in Him.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the fullness of Jesus Christ and the completeness we have in Him. Help us to remember that we are filled with His presence and empowered by His authority. Strengthen our faith and guide us to live confidently in the truth of Your Word. May we trust that You know best and find our sufficiency in Christ alone. Amen.

Thought for the Day:
In Jesus, we find our fullness and completeness. Trust in His divine presence and authority, knowing that our Father knows best and has equipped us with everything we need in Him.

Scripture:
Matthew 10:12
"As you enter the house, greet it."

Reflection:
This simple instruction from Jesus to His disciples as they went out to spread the Good News holds a profound lesson about the way we approach others and the places we enter. Greeting a house signifies bringing peace, goodwill, and a blessing to those within. It’s an act of kindness that opens the door to meaningful connections and fosters a welcoming atmosphere.

Our Father knows the power of small gestures and how they can transform interactions. A warm greeting can set the tone for a positive encounter, breaking down barriers and creating a space for God's love to be shared. When we enter any space—be it a home, a workplace, or even a public setting—our attitude and approach can make a significant difference.

By greeting the house, we acknowledge the presence of God in that place and invite His peace and blessing to rest upon it. This simple act reminds us that we are ambassadors of Christ, carrying His love and peace wherever we go. It’s a way of aligning our actions with His will, trusting that our Father knows best how to use us to touch others' lives.

This verse also encourages us to be mindful of the environments we enter and the people we meet. Every interaction is an opportunity to reflect God’s love and to bring His presence into the lives of others. Whether through a smile, a kind word, or a heartfelt greeting, we can make a profound impact.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunity to bring Your peace and love into the places we enter. Help us to greet each house, each person, with the kindness and goodwill that reflect Your heart. May our actions be a testament to Your presence and love, and may we trust that You know best how to use us to bless others. Amen.

Thought for the Day:
A simple greeting can open the door to God’s blessings. Trust in the power of small gestures and remember that our Father knows best how to use our kindness to touch the lives of those we meet.

Scripture:
Psalm 32:5
"I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,’ and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah"

Reflection:
Psalm 32:5 is a powerful reminder of the importance of confession and the assurance of God's forgiveness. When we acknowledge our sins and bring them before the Lord, He is faithful to forgive us. This verse teaches us about the mercy and grace of our Heavenly Father, who knows our weaknesses and loves us unconditionally.

Acknowledging our sins can be difficult because it requires humility and honesty. It means facing our shortcomings and mistakes, and being vulnerable before God. However, this act of confession is not about condemnation but about healing and restoration. Our Father knows our hearts and desires to free us from the burden of guilt and shame.

When we confess our transgressions, we experience the profound peace that comes from God's forgiveness. His forgiveness is complete and transformative, allowing us to move forward with a clean heart and renewed spirit. It reminds us that our relationship with God is not based on our perfection but on His grace and love.

This process of confession and forgiveness is a continual journey in our walk with God. It encourages us to live in honesty and openness before Him, trusting that He always knows what is best for us. As we bring our sins to the light, we can experience the depth of His love and the power of His forgiveness.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your boundless mercy and grace. Help us to come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging our sins and seeking Your forgiveness. Thank You for the assurance that You forgive and cleanse us from all iniquity. Strengthen our resolve to live in honesty and openness before You, trusting in Your perfect wisdom and love. Amen.

Thought for the Day:
Confession brings freedom and forgiveness. Trust in God's grace and mercy, knowing that our Father knows best and desires to restore and renew us through His love.
